When my Maltese had surgery on his back foot he wore this and a cone the vet put on him and he still managed to undo his stitches! He's a rescue and if he's determined to get something he gets it. So this blow up ring, a plastic cone and his foot still had to be kept badged so he couldn't get to his stitche the second go round. 50/50 if your dog has a long neck and he's a chewer.

Question:	does this cone have removable stays, or works going though a doggy door
Answer:	I don’t believe the stays are removable, at least I don’t see where you can. Depending on the width of the doggie door, they may struggle. We have a dog ramp with an opening for them to run down and a couple times I had to move the cone around for him to figure out how to go down with no issues. He was getting stuck a few times in the beginning but got better with it.
Question:	My dog (standard schnauzer) is having surgery on her rear foot. Will this collar prevent her from reaching that far
Answer:	Yes it will. It is very good product for the price. Be sure to measure ad directed so you get the right size. My poor lab has a large benign tumor the size of a grapefruit and he kept licking it to a sore. So I put this on him and he can not lick it. I had to get the longest length in size because he has a very long nose. I do take it off a few times a day because it is hard for them to see side to side. But it works and is definitely one of the nicer ones. I have tired them all and like this one the best

Question:	Two dogs. one tape around neck is 16.5”. a small medium dog. the other is 21.5-22 a bloodhound. what two sizes do i get
Answer:	I would do the large. My dog's neck measured right at 12". Although the medium was secure on him, because of the velcro, there was a slight gap.
Question:	What if my dog measures 18”? Should I get a large or extra large
Answer:	This does stop my dog from licking his front and back paws. Maybe it depends on the size of the dog and collar? Our dog is medium sized and the space the collar creates doesn't allow him to bend his neck to reach his paw, and the dogs leg does not flex in a way to overcome the tube collar

Answer:	My dog is a little smaller and her neck measure Aron 10 inches I tried it on my Jack his neck 11 1/2 inches I measured the collar and the open measures it it was 12 inches it has two Velcro strips you can move to the outside strip and gain about 3/4 more room . I also liked the yellow one because it was a little longer so it did allow her to get to her foot . They both worked great .

Answer:	I don’t think this brand would would for your pup based on sizing. I have a 20lb Boston Terrier and ordered her a medium and couldn’t get it closed. Ordered a large and still couldn’t get it closed around her 11 inch neck. We stuck with the vet issued cone of shame and have these in the donate pile as the cost of a return is half the cost of the product.
Question:	I have a little frengle that will be neutered soon. We were looking at buying him the lion or cow. Hes only 20lbs and his neck is 13.5" what size
Answer:	I have a miniature poodle and the collar extends long enough that she couldn't reach her eyes with her paws. But, she was bit on her hind quarter and wasn't trying to get to her eyes. It is solid and well made and doesn't 'flop'. However, it is material and bendable. Sort of like a thick, stiff potholder. What I did find with this was that it would fold completely backwards so it was covering her shoulders. It is beautifully made, but could be a bit more substantial around the neckline. (It may have been a bit too big.) I also purchased the lion collar which seemed to stay forward just fine. Either one is much better than the plastic collars you get from the vet. It washed well.

Answer:	I have a Yorkie and can't get her to hold still long enough to be able to line up the snaps and press them closed. If your cat is calm, you may have better luck. See first if your cat is spooked by having something coming close to their neck that's bigger than a collar. Mine went bananas.
