Answer:	If a dog it scratching it's ears it may have an ear infection. Epi-Otic is an ear cleaner for dogs that are not prone to ear infections. I would have the vet examine your dog's ears to see if they are infected. If so, your dog will need another type of cleaner that is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. If your dog's ears are NOT infected then Epi-Otic is an excellent choice for ear cleaning in my experieince. I hope this helps.

Answer:	I honestly can't see why there is bad reviews, this stuff is amazing. I have a basset hound with horrible itchy ears, this soothes his ears so much, I highly recommend this product

Answer:	Wiping your dog's ears out with these will kill the fleas, but if you dog actually has fleas (not mites) in it's ears that means they are all-over and will need to be eradicated. The fleas will just end up back in the ears otherwise. You can talk to your vet about the best flea medication to use, and what to use to kill them in your home as well, so your dog doesn't get infested with them again.

Answer:	Although they may seem small, I've had no problem using them on our 120# shepherd. You can get 2 fingertips on the pad while rubbing inside the ear. I shopped around, and it seems like this is the commonly available size regardless of manufacturer.

Answer:	I purchased this item at the suggestion of the doctor. In his office, he used warm water, and I did the same at home. HOWEVER, you will have better results if you purchase ear drops that help soften the ear wax. It is over the counter. The drops were used in the doctors office, for my son. He had to lay on his side for about 5-10 minutes to allow the drops to work. He sat up, the wash kit was used, and it definitely worked. I used the EarClear for my husband, and it worked just as easily as at the doctor's office. Follow the directions, and you won't be disappointed.

Answer:	UPDATED ANSWER: Most people who use the product find using a COTTON BALL or yes, cotton rounds (but not Q-tip) is a good way to apply EcoEars. Just pour some EcoEars on a large cosmetic cotton ball or cotton pad (flat square or round) that you can find in the cosmetics aisle. This helps get EcoEars into your dog's ear easily. Just a soft tissue (Kleenex), a paper towel, or clean, old T-shirt scrap to wipe away solution and debris after you pour a small amount in your dog's ear and massage the base of his ear well to break up any 'gunk.'

Answer:	Tea tree oil is not the main ingredient as someone suggested. All products list the key or highest concentration ingredients in order of first to last or least. Tea tree oil is an anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and an anti-fungal. It can also be an irritant. The witch hazel is an astringent to keep oil away. Alcohol should never be placed in the ear. Google better or ask your physician. This is why many people have reported a bad reaction. It burns, and you're pouring it in your dog's ear! People put it in their own ears for swimmer's ear (despite the burn) because alcohol binds to water molecules and they both evaporate. Hydrogen peroxide is safe for infected dog and human ears and will not burn. It fizzes and is an antiseptic. I wouldn't recommend pouring EcoEars in your dog's ear because you may be causing them pain and discomfort without realizing it. Wiping the ear down and avoiding the canal seems best.
