Answer:	That just happens to be the publication number of an ASTM document of standard practice in carbon black production. That is what comes up first in a Google search. It is clearly not a synonym for carbon black. Check with Purina. I would guess it is an anti-caking ingredient.
Question:	Read that fortiflora feline works wonders for diarrhea. How long does it take for product to work
Answer:	My cat has had chronic diarrhea for over 4 years. Still does. However, Fortiflora did not help this condition. I still buy it though because it has good digestive nutients in it and my cat had lost a lot of weight. Getting food in her and to stay in her so she could benefit from it was important. What has worked well for my cat is Endosorb that you can by on Amazon. 4 oz bottles. Says 1-2 teaspoons every 4 hours. I am lucky to get 1/4th to 1/2 a teaspoon into her twice a day. I mix it in with her canned food and to entice her to eat this (she doesn't really like endosorb) I add some of the Fortiflora powder on top. She loves the taste of that. The Endosorb gave me the best results. Stools are not fully formed but there is shape and seems to turn them into clay. She doesn't have explosive diahrhea anymore and has far fewer visits to the litter box now. This had been hourly or more previously. She has put on weight and is now looking and presumably feeling better now. I buy both products and do so regularly now. I tried tons of things---none worked. This combo FINALLY WORKED for her and I will continue to buy them. I recommend it to all my friends that are having the same problems with their animals--cats and dogs.

Answer:	I would tend to agree...How could this powder survive? In my most humble opinion, this probiotic would not make it through the dog's stomach acid alive. If it can, someone please enlighten me with something scientific. I use a capsule for myself as well as my pup that is enteric-coated, which protects it from stomach acid until it reaches our intestines. Common sense tells me I'm doing the right thing.

Answer:	Hi, if it can be used for cats, if they are having a problem change their food and double dose the pumpkin for a while, week or so. Even if it is not their food, what is different about their diet. When I was on the farm all the barn cats loved raw pumpkin, we used to toss them to break and all the cats ran to get some. I don't know what the dose is for a cat? Good Luck

Question:	My cat has still thrown up twice since giving this to her daily since July 12. How long does it take to work
Answer:	It takes at least a week. At least it did for my cats. I have one cat with short hair and one cat with long hair and each stopped having hairball issues within the first 10 days. We still have a hairball issue once every 6-8 months, but it's not weekly like it was before. I give one tablet in the morning and one at night, so two a day and they both love it (the long-haired kitty climbs up my leg if I get up late). Hope this helps - just remember that all cats are different and sometimes it may take several days for one hairball to pass, so it does take time.
Question:	is it US made and also all the ingredients from US
Answer:	2016 label states, "Made in USA with Quality US and Foreign Ingredients". It also now contains a wood product and sand.
Question:	Will your cats eat these as a treat from your hand? Or do you have to trick or force them to eat it
Answer:	I grind it up with two spoons and mix it with their moist food. Its too big and hard for a cat to eat it as treat. I only feed her once a day the moist cat food so I only mix one pill. I also use hairball dry cat food, and use the hairball remedy in a tube, the brown stuff. The issues of puking of food and hairballs and constipation are far and few now that I use the combo of all three.
Question:	Why did you change the wafers? They are now thicker but smaller in diameter and no longer work. Have the ingredients changed
Answer:	I don't like it, either, but the latest pills are a bit softer and I can break them in half with my hand. Also, if you crush them in water they love it! I add water and the powder to their food dish as a way to increase their water intake. Great for UT problems and older kitties with renal issues.*** UPDATE!! *** The latest change is horrible!! They no longer dissolve in water and leave a gritty film on the bowl (and, no doubt, the cat). They also did this with the urinary tract formula. I bought out all the old formula I could find for urinary tract. I guess I have to do it for this one, too. But I have no idea what I'll do after it's gone.

Question:	should this have a seal on the inside? something is weird after my 2nd purchase of the bigger size container, not working as well
Answer:	I just ordered this product and received it 7/19/2019. There was no seal on the product. A single piece of tape was on the lid, holding it in place on the container. The packaging for this powder product is messy. The lid screws on, but there's no gasket feature on the lid, so the powder leaks out.
Question:	Is it possible to bake this into homemade treats or does that negate the effect of the digestive enzymes
Answer:	Baking Not recommended. The heating process would denature or stop the function of most if not all the enzymes. All enzymes function at specific ranges of temperatures so some may? survive but most would have lost their usefulness. Generally 118 degrees is considered the temperature that would denature or kill most enzymes. The is some difference between wet and dry heating allowing higher temperatures but either way there would be damage. Freezing is also not recommended as some enzymes will stop functioning at too low temperatures.
