Whether you are using the smaller or larger brush, always brush your pet’s teeth in a circular motion. With small circles, you will be able to clean the top, bottom, and sides of your dog's teeth. What if my dog is scared and resists brushing?

To keep your dog calm while you are brushing her teeth, talk to her throughout the exercise, use a soothing tone and tell her what a good pup she is. Answer:	They are not soft at all, more like firm to hard. I think it partly works by manually scraping some plaque as the dogs chew on them. Some of its ingredients are supposed to help freshen their breath.
Question:	How many chews per bag
Answer:	I just counted (never paid attention) and there are 13 in the large bag (for over 40lbs) My dogs weigh around 30lbs and I cut one large into 5 or 6 small pieces. I brush their teeth first, then they get a chew. They love them.
