It’s most likely that your dog with “yeast” problems has an overgrowth of Candida Albicans, and very probable that it’s an internal overgrowth that caused the skin affliction. I’m not speaking for the effectiveness of coal tar against Candida, but if topical treatment of your dog’s skin issue doesn’t respond to treatment or reoccurs after treatment, you should consider treating the problem internally. Also, if you’re feeding your dog dry food you may be perpetuating the problem. Dry food is rarely free of mold/mycotoxins. |

I have used this shampoo (diluted) on my fingertips to carefully clean the brown-stained hair near my dog’s eyes without any problem, but I still try not to get any directly in her eyes and always rinse well right away in a direction away from her eyes. I would not attempt that with a shampoo that wasn’t tear-free, due to discomfort and potential of causing corneal ulcers or other eye problems.
