Answer:	There are plenty of different blades available, online and at pet shops. You want Oster blades, and they really haven't changed the design in at least 40years. I have a couple of #10s and also use #8 and even a #40 to clean the unseen tummy area where they might get mats

Answer:	The clippers will get hot. Besides the blade getting hot, you will feel it in your hand from the body of the clipper. I check the blade periodically by putting the flat of the blade on the back of my hand or cheek. I don't believe the dogs feel the heat much when you are clipping the body of the coat but you need to be careful of their faces, feet and other sensitive parts if you clip them. I blow on their feet while clipping if I am close to being done with the task. Otherwise, I let the clippers cool & do something else such as brushing or clipping toenails while the clippers cool.

Answer:	No it does not come with combs. It depends on the blade size for how short the hair cut will be. The higher the number, the shorter the cut. The letter F after the number means fine. If your dog has a thick coat you don’t want an F blade. This one comes with a 10 blade which is pretty short. I have a schnauzer and for her cut I had to buy a 7F for her body and a 3F (I should have bought a 3 because of how curly her fur is).

Answer:	I am a professional groomer. I bought and used the Oster A6 for two weeks before it started falling a part. I have never used the durable A5. I would highly suggest that you do not buy the A6, it is a piece of junk.

Answer:	Can't compare them to other models, as I have not ever used any other model of clipper. I use them about once every couple of weeks to clip my kitty's long hair around her nether regions. Answer:	Cats skin are paper thing and when you cut it it rips and can become a large would very quickly. Typically won’t bleed but you will need to go to a vet so they can glue it back together. ONLY USE A 10F blade or a 10 cat blade.

Answer:	when you read the entire add it is the price of one size 10 blade. I wish you could get 16 blades for 40 bucks. They are good blades but deceiving picture and alas too good to be true.
Question:	What is the difference between the 7, the 7f and the 7fc? and which blade is best for removing mats
Answer:	7F= 7 finish cut 7FC=another way of writing the same thing (fc=finish cut) 7=most likely a skip tooth blade (so it has gaps/big spaces between each tooth) although I often call my 7F's, 7's. Catalogs may call a 7 skip tooth just a 7 or they may denote it as a skip tooth. The 7 is best for cutting through mats :-)

Answer:	I didn’t like this clipper, you have to take the whole blade apart from its unit. The blades didn’t sit right. I purchase an oster, that the blade pulls out, and can easily be replaced with another, without unscrewing anything. I have 6 dogs, 2 poodles, 3 maltese, 1 lhasa to groom, I have 7 blades that I use when I groom them. The blades do get hot, so I switch them out to let it cool. I would purchase an oster that the blade pulls out.

Answer:	My clipper (per instruction manual for models #76077 and 78706) does have a cord, which when clipping the two of three dogs I have that require grooming, doesn't seem to be an issue with these two small dogs. Just read the manual, and watch the DVD that comes with the package.

Answer:	Sorry, I honestly don't know as I clip two of my little dogs' coats; neither which are not thick or coarse.

Question:	We have a Persian cat with very fine hair. Has anyone used these on Persians or something similar
Answer:	These clippers are loud, so cats may not respond well to them. Also, Oster clippers get hot fast, so use lots of blade coolant while using them. I am a professional groomer and although I do own these clippers and like their cut, they are not used often. Andis clippers are my go to set. Hope this helps.
