Question:	I am new to this – so I hope this is nota stupid question. Do combs come with this set? Isnt it the combs that allow to cut longer or shorter
Answer:	No it does not come with combs. It depends on the blade size for how short the hair cut will be. The higher the number, the shorter the cut. The letter F after the number means fine. If your dog has a thick coat you don’t want an F blade. This one comes with a 10 blade which is pretty short. I have a schnauzer and for her cut I had to buy a 7F for her body and a 3F (I should have bought a 3 because of how curly her fur is).

Answer:	I'm not sure about around the eyes, I never tried that since it wasn't powerful enough to cut the hair on the back (which was what I needed it for). I use a mini clipper for the face which I got from Walmart. It's much smaller and not as loud.

Answer:	To be honest, I returned these clippers after one use. They were heavy to handle, loud, and I was not impressed with the clipping ability. I, myself, would not use it on a cat. Answer:	There are plenty of different blades available, online and at pet shops. You want Oster blades, and they really haven't changed the design in at least 40years. I have a couple of #10s and also use #8 and even a #40 to clean the unseen tummy area where they might get mats

Answer:	The clippers will get hot. Besides the blade getting hot, you will feel it in your hand from the body of the clipper. I check the blade periodically by putting the flat of the blade on the back of my hand or cheek. I don't believe the dogs feel the heat much when you are clipping the body of the coat but you need to be careful of their faces, feet and other sensitive parts if you clip them. I blow on their feet while clipping if I am close to being done with the task. Otherwise, I let the clippers cool & do something else such as brushing or clipping toenails while the clippers cool.

Answer:	I didn’t like this clipper, you have to take the whole blade apart from its unit. The blades didn’t sit right. I purchase an oster, that the blade pulls out, and can easily be replaced with another, without unscrewing anything. I have 6 dogs, 2 poodles, 3 maltese, 1 lhasa to groom, I have 7 blades that I use when I groom them. The blades do get hot, so I switch them out to let it cool. I would purchase an oster that the blade pulls out.

Answer:	These clippers are loud, so cats may not respond well to them. Also, Oster clippers get hot fast, so use lots of blade coolant while using them. I am a professional groomer and although I do own these clippers and like their cut, they are not used often. Andis clippers are my go to set. Hope this helps.
