Small and tapered so they fit well around the face but the tooth count makes them a true thinning shear, not a blending shear. They take too much hair off and dont provide a finished look for the face.

Answer:	Yes! Comb at least twice per day until you've had clean combings for a week. For children in pre-k through 8th (older if your girls have a lot of sleepovers) do a combing just to check AT once per week. I also taught mine to do their own daily. We have caught literal infestations of one louse this way - but trust it has laid eggs already. With a good comb, some diligence, and tea tree oil (100% - many parents get fooled picking up a bottle that's actually80% soybean oil. It should make your eyes water when you sniff it.) You can get rid of lice permanently. Tea tree oil will not kill lice but they hate it. Dilute some in detangler for fine hair or a leave in conditioner for thicker hair, it will ease combing and release easier. A light misting daily will repel them when your children are exposed again. I also recommend combing before and after sleepovers. Unfortunately there are parents of all types that will ignore it and continue sleepovers. You'll quickly find them out when you start pre and post sleepover combings.

Answer:	1) Lice Combs. Use a fine-toothed nit comb to remove lice from the hair, working through the hair one small section at a time. Tea tree oil can also be applied directly to a fine-toothed comb and combed through dry hair with each brushing. Combing the hair at least 3 times a day for the first week â€" and then nightly for a week â€" will help to gradually remove eggs and newly hatched lice. This is one of the most effective ways of removing head lice without the use of insecticidal shampoos. Note: Make sure you clean out the lice comb by soaking it in vinegar for at least 30 minutes or by boiling it in water for 5-10 minutes.2) Melaleuca (tea tree oil). This essential oil is an all-natural insecticide and an amazing treatment for head lice. To use: (a) add 3-5 drops of Melaleuca (tea tree oil) to every one ounce of natural shampoo (b) mix 3 tablespoons of carrier oil (olive, coconut, olive, coconut, jojoba, or sesame) and a teaspoon of Melaleuca (tea tree oil) together in a bowl…apply to hair for 30-45 minutes…shampoo normally. (c) add 10-20 drops directly into the washing machine when washing infected items. (d) add 15 drops to 2 ounces of water and spray onto hair while combing with a nit comb.3) Neem Oil Shampoo. Neem oil, like tea tree oil, is also considered all-natural insecticide. Used by gardeners safely to prevent and kill pests on plants…it is just as safe and effective in the treatment of lice. Once a lice infestation is realized begin using a neem oil based shampoo â€" or add few teaspoons of neem oil to your normal shampoo. Note: Here is a recipe â€" Neem Oil Soap Recipe â€" for those interested in making your own Neem Oil Herbal Shampoo Bar. Before and after shampooing, rinse your hair with vinegar…or soak hair with vinegar and leave it on for a few minutes before combing with a nit comb. Towel-dry hair. This will help remove nits from the hair shaft.5) Healing Oil Treatment. High in anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and natural insecticide properties sesame seed and neem oils are the base for this healing oil treatment. Wisk together 1/4 cup of sesame seed oil, 1/8 cup neem oil, 10 drops Melaleuca (tea tree oil), 5 drops each eucalyptus and rosemary essential oils, and 10 drops of lavender essential oils. Begin by rinsing the hair with apple cider vinegar and allow it to dry (this will help dissolve the glue-like substance produces by the nits). Apply healing oil treatment to the hair and scalp, cover with a shower cap, and leave-in for 6-8 hours or overnight. Use a fine-toothed nit comb to remove all the dead lice and nits. Shampoo normally. Apply this treatment every day for five days to eradicate lice.6) Coconut oil. Just as with the above healing oil treatment…prior to applying coconut oil rinse the hair with apple cider vinegar and allow it to dry. Apply coconut oil to the hair, cover with a shower cap, and leave-in for 6-8 hours or overnight. Comb hair with a nit comb. Shampoo normally. Apply this treatment to the hair and scalp every day for five days to eradicate lice. Note: For a powerhouse treatment, add several drops of ylang-ylang and anise essential oils to the coconut oil prior to application.7) Garlic. Grind 8 to 10 cloves of garlic all together to create a paste. Add in 2 to 3 teaspoons of lime juice or water (if using water add 10-15 drops of tea tree oil) and apply this to the scalp. Leave in this paste for ½ hour and rinse out thoroughly.8) Thyme. Prepare a strong herbal infusion using either fresh or dried thyme leaves and flowers. Use this preparation as a rinse or spray onto hair while combing with a nit comb multiple times a day.9)Essential oils. Add any of the following essential oils you have on hand to a carrier oil (such as olive, coconut, jojoba, or sesame) and apply to hair â€" using the same method as with the coconut oil and healing oil treatment â€" to kill lice: Melaleuca (tea tree oil), lavender, rosemary, clove, eucalyptus, cinnamon, thyme, peppermint, oregano, or ylang ylang.10) Hair dryersIn a study, hot-air methods proved highly effective in killing nits, but less so in eradicating live lice. An old-fashioned bonnet dryer killed nearly 89% of nits but just 10% of lice, while a blow dryer using direct heat got rid of nearly 98% of nits and 55% of lice. So use a hair dryer on freshly washed hair to increase your chance of eradicating the little buggers.But never use hot air after applying a chemical lice treatment. Some may contain flammable ingredients.11) Hair styling gel/petroleum jellyThere's not a lot of research that proves that applying thick, hair-stiffening styling gel or petroleum jelly (Vaseline) kills head lice, although like olive oil, many moms swear by it. The goo supposedly suffocates the bugs by clogging their breathing holes.One study found petroleum jelly worked better than other home remedies. However, the National Pediculosis Association cautions that Vaseline may not work and is difficult to remove. (Styling gel should be easier to wash out.)12) MayonnaiseIt's a great binder for macaroni salad, but does mayonnaise cut it as a head lice treatment? Lice can open and close their breathing holes to avoid suffocation, so there's no guarantee that it will work. The National Pediculosis Association has received conflicting reports on the success of this home remedy.People who've tried it recommend using real, full-fat mayonnaise. But if your the type to try a small round file on each of the serrations (one at a time) would work. Clamp the file in an electric drill,, start spinning,, then touch each serration to the file at the same angle to lightly sharpen.

Question:	I'm looking for a small blending scissor for muzzle and eye area on maltese .would these work. How long are they
Answer:	In my opinion, not at all. These scissors are big and heavy and the blades do not glide, in fact they kind of stick, not to mention making a significantly audible slicing sound, which, if your Maltese is calm around scissors won't be an issue, but with my traumatized kitty, definitely is. In addition, I found the combs to be a cheap plastic that does not run through the hair smoothly. I guess there are enough people who do like this product, I'm just not one of them. It's probably fine for big, generalized work, but I would not recommend it for delicate, minute work. Just my personal opinion. The company sent me their little trimmer scissors for free, when they found out I was not satisfied. Those are pretty useless too. I think you're better off buying a nice little pair of baby scissors, with rounded tips. I will add that the company reimbursed me immediately for the Scaredy Cut scissors when I told them I was not satisfied. That doesn't change how I feel about the product. I'll probably gift it to someone who can use this type of thing, maybe someone with a medium to big size dog who isn't afraid of having their hair trimmed.Hope that helps!
