I use mine to body clip my horse, but i've also shaved my friends cat(a Maine Coon with hair mats), so I'd say yes, they're fantastic clippers, i've never had a problem with them, just keep them clean and oiled. If you're wanting to do detail work, they're fairly wide, but they cut clean and even. they run quietly too, and don't get overheated too fast.

Answer:	An FC blade is a finished cut. The skip tooth blade goes through thick or matted fur better. So if your dogs fur isn't matted or super thick you should only need an FC blade. I use a FC 3-3/4 or 4 FC on a cockapoo and either does a good job (the 4 just a little shorter cut) . The FC gives a nice finished look without having to use another blade .

Answer:	Andis makes 4 'skip tooth' blades; #7FC (3.2mm), #5 (6.3mm), #4 (9.5mm), and 3 3/4 (13mm=1/2") which have a coarser blade guide which enables cutting of very dense fur/hair and especially matted hair. The #10 blade that came with my Andis AG2 was useless in clipping my Standard Poodles dense hair and I found the 3 3/4 'skip tooth' as the ideal solution to clip her hair down to a more usable length whereby the 'standard #10' clipper blade could be used to get a nice finished cut. My 3 3/4 arrived new unlike some who complained about receiving a 'used blade'. Highly recommend if you are frustrated with the more conventional Andis cutter blades - use a skip tooth blade to get started!

Answer:	I am not sure but I used this for my 30kg golden retriever (also thick undercoat but not so fine hair) n it works great. My mom enjoys shaving my golden's hair with it to different style; one day lion, another time bart simpson, sometimes skunk. I bought a few clipper head to vary the length depending on the weather. My golden seems to b comfortable too. He falls asleep during haircuts.

Answer:	From the Andis company, I was told that the 21485 was blue and the 65785 was purple. I am going to check to make sure that they both are detachable blades. That is one of the differences I have found with other Andis razors. But, I believe that they are identical. Oh, I forgot, they both have steel blades and not the Ceramic. To order one with a ceramic #10 blade included, it is Andis 21420. The identical clipper MGB2 model number is the same for all 3 of these razors.

I don't use the guards on it though, as they tend to get stuck in the curls. Answer:	To put it on: Insert the comb from the top edge of the clipper/trimmer, and then pull it down to extend the spring to snap in and ON. To remove or take off the comb: Push the comb down and pull OUT from the bottom, and then pull UPWARD to completely remove it.

Answer:	Blades are more dangerous. It depends on your skill, because with or without guard combs you can still cut the dog. As a non-professional it will be less risk to learn with guard combs first. Blades alone need to be checked for the temperature and cooled frequently throughout the groom. A #10 blade is NOT a surgical blade, but it does leave the hair extremely short (1/16 in.), a length short enough to leave razor bumps and ingrown hairs. Its not reccomended to shave a pet down to this length all over in most circumstances. Depending on the coat, individual blade may leave a more polished look, but you can achieve a decent haircut on most breeds using a #10 blade and a variety of guard combs.

Answer:	I also was ready to return these. I had read these answers but still could not see how to attach the combs. As I was preparing the return authorization I got them out again and only then did I realize that the metal piece will slide up and down, so after you hook it on the bottom part of the clipper, you then have to exert great force to move the comb up and over the blade. It is a very tight fit and does ensure that the comb will not come off during use. It would be very helpful if the package came with instructions, as it is not intuitive, even after I did what I thought was thorough research.

Answer:	Yes. My dogs don't seem to notice when the clippers are on
Question:	will this work on Newfoundland dog with a double coat and under matt
Answer:	Yes! We have a Great Pyranees and and Akbash. They both have the double coat and undercoat and it works great. You may do some trimming up with scissors but for the most part this trimmer does it all. It is quiet. Has 2 speeds. does not get hot to quickly. You can get the different blades to do the matted areas and undercoat. The blades are very easy. Just a press of the button and pops out and change and snap, your ready to go again. Get the #3, # 7 and it comes with a #10. Get a can of spray coolant you can spray on the blades as your grooming if it gets hot. Hope it works for you!

Answer:	Yes, our Andis ProClip AG2 did come with the #10 blade included. We have a Goldendoodle, and would advise also purchasing the inexpensive Andis Chrome Comb pack of 8 magnetic clip on attachments that give you a wide variety of easy to switch sizes: #0 (5/8"), #2 (3/8"), #1 (1/2"), A(3/4"), B(13/16"), C (7/8"), E(1") and F(1-1/4"). This increases the utility of the #10 blade that came with the trimmer, and has given us everything we need to give our "Dood" regular trims at home.

Answer:	Get the red one; it stays cool and cuts better, too.

Question:	I accidentally ordered this blade for using on a human hair. this blade is 1.5mm only than any blades. So can it applied on human hair? or pets only
Answer:	Its PH neutral and very gentle. I use it on coated surfaces all the time. Boats, Cars, RVS. Its highly concentrated too. Call Mequires or Duratain if you want to be absolutely sure. I was surprised to see the Duratain suggest dish soap like dawn to wash on the surface. That is far more harsh that M5401! Good luck

Question:	Does it have a 2 inch comb
Answer:	Actually, the combs DO snap into place. There are ridges on the clipper and notches on the combs. These should match up. The combs for the clippers, as previously stated, are 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, and 12mm. There is a separate metal comb that does NOT go on the clipper.
Question:	How long does it take to charge
Answer:	When it came was already 75% charged. I plugged in for another hour to get 100%. Came without a charger, has no manual, and no info on the box about charging time.
Question:	Does it get hot during use
Answer:	A little warm but literally just a tiny bit. Not hot at all.
Question:	Has anyone used these on a golden doodle
Answer:	Yes! I just used the highest guard (12mm) on my mini golden doodle yesterday who had not been to the groomer for over 2 months. It was the perfect length. My puppy was relaxed and I used the lowest speed (most quiet) the whole time. I’m sure that I will get better with practice but overall I’m happy with the results and my puppy doesn’t care about the imperfections. I hand trimmed the face, toes and tail.
