Question:	How long can you go between brushings
Answer:	Yes. This wax is very easy to work with. If you need to see how it works on wood look up Annie Sloan was on wood on utube. This wax however will not protect surfaces from long periods of standing water. I have covered coffee tables and side tables with it but always advise to protect by using a coaster and wipe dust with a dry clean cloth.

Answer:	Yes, the wax can be used over latex paint. Buffing the wax is what makes it shiny, the wax has a naturally matte finish so apply it, wipe off the excess and just let it cure for a couple of weeks. Buffing the wax is what makes it shiny.

Answer:	I have three cats. One is long haired, one is short haired, and one is VERY short haired. For the long-haired cat, this works well. My short-haired cats, it works less well, but did do a decent job at getting some mats out of the standard short haired cat. The very short haired cat, this doesn't do much for, it's more productive just to brush her.
Question:	How does this compare to a furminator
Answer:	The furminator has tines that are really close together. My dogs did not like it because it pulls their thick hair. This product has one side where the teeth are pretty far apart. Use this side first until you get a lot of the loose hair off or until your dog gets used to it. Then turn it over and use the side with the teeth closer together to finish removing the loose hair. My dogs enjoy this product, they would not tolerate the furminator.

Another blue shade we have is Provence Blue, which is a richer and vibrant blue, making it also a favorite. Once the paint is dry after 20 minutes, you can apply the clear sealer and shortly after (20 min) you can apply the Enhance Antiquing Gray or Brown to create different looks. With our system, you can achieve four different finishes: matte, polished, brown and gray antiquing.

Answer:	Since chalk paint is porous it should be sealed. It dries to a dull, chalky finish--hence the name! I sealed mine with a clear soft wax [applied with a wax brush, allowed to dry, then buffed with a soft cloth). The results are a smooth finish that is not shiny. If you want an "antiqued" or shabby-chic look, you can also apply (sparingly) a dark wax over the clear wax. You can easily Google or Youtube how to execute this technique. I've used chalk paint on projects with and without the dark wax, and I've not been disappointed.

Answer:	I don't know what you refer to as a traditional rake but I find that is my favorable for long coated dogs. It's great for getting the mats out and dealing with the undercoat. It does not scratch the dog's skin and it combs gently through mats.

Answer:	Hi! I'm a pet groomer, I'm going to answer you the best I can. Forst of all, All dogs shed, there is no such thing as a non-shedding breed, all breed shed differently but they all shed. The correct use is to remove undercoat (dead hair that can't shed out naturally) or packed undercoat (undercoat that has been left in for so long that layers have built up creating matting of dead hair choking the skin and living coat, resulting in dry/greasy/flakey/hot spots depending on breed and how long it's gone on for). I highly recommend using this on long hair breeds such as Golden Retrievers, Shetland Sheepdog, Old English Sheepdog, etc. General rule of thumb is to start with the widest set teeth first and work your way to smaller - the point being to get the bulk out first, then get out the finer smaller tangles for a picture perfect coat. So for example, use this rake first, then a slicker brush, then a metal tooth comb (wide side first, then the finer side). This way you know for an fact you have removed all the dead hair and matting, because a comb never lies. I hope this helped, Have a great day!

Answer:	I have not used this for a table . I used it on 2 dressers. Since it is chalk paint, I would recommend using some kind of sealer as you will be washing your table. The chalk paint will wipe off. I have used two different sealers. Polyurethane and another Behrs matte sealer that does not give it a shine if you want to stay with matte.

Answer:	I just did a super light sanding. I painted a hall table and didn’t have to use much paint at all. The table had the same color as the new paint but it was glossy paint before. I recommend it.

Every once in a while I need to tighten the teeth by tightening the little bolt on the end. You’re asking about the weight and cost of this model, all I can say is the heavier the better for my big guy. On the other hand if your dog is a small dog with tangled coat this model would work just fine.

Answer:	I dont know for sure, but each individual blade is serrated, so maybe a professional sharpener could do it, but I bet it would cost more than a new tool! I havent looked for replacement blades so I dont know. BUT, I have 7 different types of dematters, and this is far and away my favorite tool for 2 standard poodles.

Answer:	It does remove hair while combing, it doesn't trim like scissors. I use it on my Collie and like it. It removes that annoying undercoat.

Answer:	I used this on a hallway accent table. It is a matte finish. I use "method" brand cleaning products without harsh chemicals on it and it is fine. I'm not sure I would use it where there is a lot of cleaning required like the kitchen cabinets..molding and doors I would think would be okay.

Answer:	I used min wax satin poly urathene spray over it and worked fine. Use light multiple coats. I used 3 coats
