Answer:	It works well. Not sure on small dogs though, seems like would cut them to short. I have a med and larger dog and it worked great. The guard just prevents the nail from going all the way through the clippers and cutting the nail too short, no guess work

Answer:	I use these clippers on all 4 of my dogs. Pit Bull 62 lbs, Rat Terrier 31 lbs, Dachshund mix 16 lbs and our Chihuahua 13 lbs. They work great on all of them. For puppies and kittens I would push the guard out of the way and judge cutting by eye sight.

Answer:	This stuff is like tea tree oil on steroids so I don't see any reason you wouldn't be able to as tea tree is a good oil for treating cold sores. Make sure you use a carrier oil though and don't apply the raw oil directly to the sore (ouch). Coconut oil is a great carrier oil to mix it with say 1 tablespoon of coconut oil mixed with 3-4 drops Manuka oil. Use cotton to put it on, and use the mixture up until it's gone. Hope this helps!

Answer:	I think it smells like freshly cut green carrot tops and the smell is very strong out of the bottle, also it has a good staying power so it stays with you for a while but think of the benefits and decide for yourself.

Answer:	I'm so sorry, I couldn't sa. I have not been using it consistently. My family has been using it for everything. It's such a small bottle that I only have been using when absolutely necessary for my purposes. I found organic coconut oil to work also for HS and for scarring. Both are good solutions. Good luck.

Answer:	I purchased these for use with my 4 rabbits. From 4lbs to 6.5 lbs. I think they work well. Good grip. As long as you can get the locking mechanism to open all the way the clippers work well. I don't use the guard because the nails are so small, but I think this works quite well.

Answer:	I don't believe so, it states "gel". They do not smell like they have a latex base. If you are "severely" I would not risk it, but if it only causes a mild rash, it might be worth a try. They are very comfortable and easy to use.

It's much quieter and less of a rumbling vibration than the Dremels I've used on four previous dogs. It's safer - my dogs have long hair and I have had the horror of having a running Dremel entangled in the leg hair. It takes three people at the vet's to clip my dog's nails - and it costs $23 each time they take off an eight of an inch....and then the nails are sharp. My dog was freaked out even with this one but with enough string cheese snacks we got through it. I had been able to use clippers on her by myself but it was scary since she has solid black nails and was struggling. I hope the grinding wheel lasts for a good long while. Answer:	DO NOT LET A KNIFE SHARPENER NEAR YOUR RAZOR. I do not let knife sharpeners sharpen my knives. All I have seen use a sanding belt. There is a danger of burning the blade. Learn to do it yourself. It's not hard to do. I started shaving with a straight razor when I was 15 Get a hone, a leather/canvas strop, or leather only and watch some videos. I would prefer to get the razor un-sharpened, then I can put my own edge on it.

Question:	how does it work on cats
Answer:	I have a cat this is scared of a pin dropping 3 miles away, and I was able to use this on her with no problem whatsoever. By the end she even seemed to love it. One trick I did was turn the razor on but use a comb/hand to comb the cat for 5 or 6 times. This will get them to associate the razor sound with a pleasing action. Then later put the comb aside and just use the razor and they will be none the wiser. Or at least that seemed to trick my scaredy cat. I would highly recommend this product. Good luck!

Answer:	I haven't tried using it on people, but it works very well on dogs and cats. The different heads for the trimmer are intended for different lengths of fur, not human hair. There are human hair trimmers on the market that would probably work better on people.

Answer:	Thanks for your question. Funginix should be applied to the cuticle and skin around each infected nail. Topical solutions do not penetrate the nail bed. The effective treatments combat the fungal infection from within the body by absorbing into the tissue around the infection. Using nail polish can slow this process down and extend treatment times. Answer:	I've not used the 7700, so I'm not familiar with it. The dremel rotates horizontally. I have big dogs, so I usually trim their nails after a walk to burn off some energy first. They lay on their side w/me kneeling next to them to trim their nails. With my biggest dog (German Shepherd), I trim the nails on the feet on the paws she's laying on, then have her lay on her other side to do the same thing on the other 2 paws. The dremel has been a life safer. It's so much less stressful than a trip to the vet.
Question:	What size grit for small dogs should i use
Answer:	Eric II is our very small pedigree Maltese 2kg and we use 100 to 120 grit which is excellent for him. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The drum is the attachment to the dremel. It rotates like the electric toothbrush. The band is the replaceable gritted paper - like the Emory board you use to file your nails - that goes in the band and you would replace them as they wear out.

Also, Wal Mart offers free shipping, you don't need to step foot in a store if you're a prude. Prime is becoming more of an all-in-one media entertainment "thingy". Pure retailers will provide better shopping experiences as amazon continues to branch in different areas. Just simple observations. Answer:	It has sizing guards for small and medium dogs that sort of do that, but not a guard like the scissor style. That said, since it's more like sanding (think using an emory board on your own nails), it's easy to stop grinding well before you reach the quick.

Answer:	I think this is better than the pedipaws where you constantly have to buy refills. My dog has thick nails and it works pretty good.
Question:	How do you know how much to grind off
Answer:	Some dog nails are translucent so you can see where the soft inner part stops, don't grind into that part. If their nails are totally opaque it's more complicated, but if you look at the underside of a dog toenail you should see the cuppy hollow part that dirt gets trapped in, my rule of thumb is that all of that hollow part is safe to grind off. Stop and check it out if they flinch though, no need to take risks.
