I went to my local pet place and to my dismay they changed both the look and the formula. I had no other choice since I was out of food, so I bought the closest thing Nutro was now offering.She has now been on the adult large breed chicken/rice/potato for a couple weeks. She has been gassy and hasn't had a solid BM for about a week. I just switched her to a bland diet (boiled rice/chicken breast mix) and she seems to be feeling better already. I'm really hoping this is just a coincidence so I'll reintroduce the Nutro slowly and see how it goes. If that doesn't work I'll have to start looking and different brands, and that's a pretty big bummer. |

| Answer: | Yes I have! We have 2 rescue dogs, and We 100% definitively know the ancestry of one of our rescues but not the other. Our older rescue, Lily, is a Doberman-Lab (maternal doberman, paternal lab-retriever). Our other rescue is a mixed bag of cuteness--all we know for sure if she has some husky and some border collie. That being said, I wanted to compare Wisdom Panel and Embark, and since we knew what one of our furbabies is a doberman-lab, we thought she would be a great control for this experiment! I ordered Wisdom panel first (bc of its great reviews and more appealing price) and I was completely appalled and disappointed at the results for our doberman-lab. Her results came back as Alaskan Malamute + Poodle. I actually called to see if they mixed up her results with someone else's but customer service told me that it was impossible to do so lol! I loved Embark's results, and they actually tested her pretty accurately--It came back as Doberman-Lab Retreiver-Rottie (Rottie being minimal). I love the health results, they are so much more detailed compared to Wisdom Panel results and its worth the extra cost. As for our other mixed rescue dog, Wisdom Panel came back with a mix of 8 breeds and 20% 'undefined'. I was pretty disappointed with that and our results for her Embark test are pending.I did post to the Embark facebook group, as other ppl have, and many people have done a similar experiment between the 2 companies. It seems to be overwhelmingly pro-Embark, but I can understand that the price may be a turnoff. In my opinion, the price is worth it for embark, especially if you have health concerns. |

| Answer: | Not sure about the large breed version but the small breed version has fairly small and triangular pieces, about a quarter of an inch. Have you considered wetting down the dry food to make it less sharp and easier to chew? |

The bag I bought a month ago had a big seal on the front that said "Our Promise No: GMOs, meat by products, wheat, corn, soy, artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives." The bag I just received no longer has that sticker it just has a little box on the back that says, "No: meat by products, wheat, corn, soy, artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives." I don't see anywhere on the bag that is says no GMOs. Glad you asked the question. If there are no GMO's in this food, I'm not happy because the price has gone up $5 since I bought the last bag.... GMO's + price increase = unhappy puppy parent! I just checked the website. It still says not GMO's, but it still shows it as being on the seal... I emailed the company and will share what they say. |

| Answer: | I assumed it was the same thing. We have 7 and 10 year old golden doodles. They had no problem when we switched to buying their food from Amazon. It looks and smells just like the mature +6 we got at Chow Hound. |
