| Answer: | My lab ate way too fast so I put a large boulder in his dish with his food. He has to eat around it and ittakes him three times longer to eat. When the dogs eat too fast they take in a lot of air with the food andthat is not good for them. As far as adjusting to new food you should start by mixing the old and new food50/50 and over a period of 10-14 days adjust the mixture slowly until they are eating 100% of the new food.This is suggested by vets because it will have less of a chance of the dog reacting to the switch.Hope this helps ! |
