Answer:	I believe it is manufactured in Canada. My puppy was on the NUTRO ULTRA large breed puppy until she developed an inflammatory reaction to something. Her vet told us to switch foods and since then she has never had a problem. If you want an excellent puppy food similar to NUTRO ULTRA that is manufactured in the USA, look up Diamond Naturals. Their website has good information on the quality of their dog food and how it is manufactured. It has almost been a year since we made the switch and my pup hasn’t had any problems since.

Question:	Has anyone had issues with the "new formula"? I went to order and the ingredients have changed
Answer:	My dog has been on Nutro since she was a puppy. She is now 6 years old and was eating the adult large breed chicken/rice formula (blue bag with a GSD on it). I went to my local pet place and to my dismay they changed both the look and the formula. I had no other choice since I was out of food, so I bought the closest thing Nutro was now offering.She has now been on the adult large breed chicken/rice/potato for a couple weeks. She has been gassy and hasn't had a solid BM for about a week. I just switched her to a bland diet (boiled rice/chicken breast mix) and she seems to be feeling better already. I'm really hoping this is just a coincidence so I'll reintroduce the Nutro slowly and see how it goes. If that doesn't work I'll have to start looking and different brands, and that's a pretty big bummer.

Answer:	I’ve fed my Labrador Retrievers this formula for the last 20 years. This brand is formulated to be age and size specific and has had a direct positive effect on the lifespan of my pets. I’ve had 2 females that lived to be 16 & 17 years respectively, and 2 males who lived well into their 15th year. I’ve been told by 3 different vets that the percentage of protein and fats is optimal fir large dogs. Too much or too little of either will lead to problems when your dog gets older.

The pom definitely needs a small breed formula, & the husky will need certain things in the large breed, like glucosamine & chondroitin. The different formulas are not about the size of the bites. Answer:	This is our small breed formula, but we do have a small bites recipe as well.
Question:	I have an older Chihuahua, how soft is the food
Answer:	This food is "crunchies"...it is not soft. However, the bites are very small and a Chi should easily be able to chew them. If your fur baby has missing or bad teeth you could always soften the crunchies by adding wet food and letting is sit for a short time to soak the little bites into becoming softer. We have two Maltese, a Poodle/Shi Tzu mix, and a mini Schnauzer. This is their preferred bagged food. We always mix it with wet to make it more desirable.

Answer:	Many veterinarians recommend feeding 1/2 of the original food and 1/2 the new food (Nutro). My dogs have been feed Nutro since they got off of puppy chow. Their coats are nice, they have maintained a good weight and love to play. My dogs love it.

Answer:	Don't know about large breed but the small breed is less then 1/4" diameter. It isn't quite round it reminds me of a pouf ottoman. I give it to both my cocker spaniel and my mini schnauzer. The bigger sizes are too big for her but he can eat any size. One good thing is they eat it.
