Answer:	Look at the ingredient list on the back of the bag. US and imported ingredients. How much of the protein actually comes from meat? Is this dead, diseased and dying meat or is it USDA inspected and human grade meat and all the added junk is just that. Dogs increasingly are getting cancer, as people feed them kibble without knowing the food sources or the "additional" ingredients. Read the Truth about Pet Food -- while it can be a little extreme - the basic information is correct...
Question:	Free samples which ones
Answer:	No free samples BUT there is a trial-size bag to sample without buying too much. I did the sample bag Salmon and my picky eater likes it and trust me my girl won't eat most........she eats Victor Performance and that's about it. She started on Blue Buffalo Bison...but then stop eating unless I add something like chicken or hamburger to it.............then I found Victor and she has been on it since.....lately she has not been so eager to eat so, I tried the Way..........bingo............she liked it!

Answer:	So I share your concern. Most dog foods say "made with international ingredients" and this is a red flag for me. China has been known to have bone meal made with with products from euthanized animals. This is your greatest concern. In the case of this dog food, the beef is sourced from the usa but all other variations are from "international sources" so I am trying the beef version. I will mix this with their current food and slowly transition. I would rather have 100% usa sourced ingredients but this is next to impossible to find.

Answer:	This contains 57 mg sodium per 100kcal metabolizable energy. Which means it counts as a diet with moderate sodium restriction and might be a good choice for dogs with heart issues. (Wellness has a pdf available on their website with nutritional info you can use to calculate this.)

Answer:	Yes, the last 3 bags I have gotten have been a matte finish. I liked the shiny ones better, but that is just me. The shiny ones seemed thicker.

Answer:	I wouldn't call it soft. It's a typical dry kibble. The pieces are right sized for smaller dogs.
Question:	Senior, 4-pound Chi only likes "soft" kibble, won't eat wet food or crunchies. Only has a few molars left. Will he shun this food
Answer:	This food IS crunchies, but tiny crunchies. I have a 4 yr old Boston Terrier who loves this food bc they are small kibble and not as tough as thicker, harder kibble. If ur chi doesn’t like hard food at all, I suggest another food. If u do decide to try it out, u can add some brown gravy to soften it up :) my pup loves that! Good luck

Answer:	Yes......there is a "Fresh by" date (checked the one I just received and it's March, 2016). Very happy with the results with my Dalmatian, her coat is very thick and shiny.

Answer:	I have an 11 yr. old puppy-mill rescue, a 9 lb. Chihuahua/terrier mix. I had to have all but a couple of teeth extracted because her teeth were rotted due to no vet care in the mill. This is a kibble I feed to most of the other dogs but I intended to feed her only the smaller sized small breed kibble but she prefers this size and in any of the varieties. Your dog should do just fine, did happen to get this and if so, how did it work out for your dog Daisy?

Answer:	Their dog food is manufactured in the USA. Some ingredients are sourced from USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Belgium. My dog tolerates this food well, it has limited ingredients, and has not upset her sensitive stomach orcaused any reactions to her skin.
Question:	How is the 30# bag shipped? Well packed and protected in a box
Answer:	I never had any problems with the shipping. They usually put it in a big cardboard box but no extra padding or so. However, the bag itself is pretty sturdy so even if the box gets damaged I never had issues with the bag itself being damaged or ripped. I have ordered this from Amazon several times...

Question:	Is it worth buying this food vs something that's half the price? I have 2 dogs but my big always seems hungry
Answer:	A quality food is always worth purchasing. I started feeding this product to my German Shepherd many years ago and her stool reduced by 25-30% She was absorbing more of the food (nutrition) I recommend this food. My shepherd is gone but I still feed to my new rescue. She has no complaints !

Question:	How big is the kibble? I've got a GSD that inhales her food and small pieces cause her to choke and cough most of the time
Answer:	Not sure about the large breed version but the small breed version has fairly small and triangular pieces, about a quarter of an inch. Have you considered wetting down the dry food to make it less sharp and easier to chew?
Question:	Is it really true that this is no longer a GMO free product
Answer:	Hmmm. Will be calling the company. The bag I bought a month ago had a big seal on the front that said "Our Promise No: GMOs, meat by products, wheat, corn, soy, artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives." The bag I just received no longer has that sticker it just has a little box on the back that says, "No: meat by products, wheat, corn, soy, artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives." I don't see anywhere on the bag that is says no GMOs. Glad you asked the question. If there are no GMO's in this food, I'm not happy because the price has gone up $5 since I bought the last bag.... GMO's + price increase = unhappy puppy parent! I just checked the website. It still says not GMO's, but it still shows it as being on the seal... I emailed the company and will share what they say.
