I did the treatments three weeks apart (the instructions say it is OK to do if you wait seven days). I bought the 9+ lb. package as three of the cats are well over that weight. One cat is a bit smaller and I didn't use quite all of the tube on her. None of the cats had any bad reactions, and it worked well for three of them. The other cat (partial Maine Coon) had some results, but not so good.

I have always used the large cat product but since he has lost some weight this year I called Bayer and asked if I should use a smaller dose. The person at Bayer explained that Advantage works on body AREA as well as weight. So even though my cat has lost some weight (he's 9 pounds) his body AREA is still the same (loose skin) and so I have been applying the large cat dose and it has worked well for him this summer with no ill effects. Answer:	We've used it all summer on two indoor/outdoor cats -- works great, and our cats didn't have the allergic reaction that they've had on some other brands (Frontline, etc.). I would recommend it.

Question:	Is this really $27.28 for less than one pound of food
Answer:	It's actually 3 pounds of food once water is added. If you look at the front of the bag, it shows that the 14 ounce bag of food makes 3 pounds of food when the correct amount of water is added during feeding.
Question:	Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do with the dusty, ground food meal at the bottom of the bag? There is a lot of it and I hate to waste it
Answer:	Actually, I run each serving (3 bricks/nuggets) through my mini-food processor in order to break them down. It had been messy when I tried breaking them down in the bowl with a spoon. I take the time to process the whole bag 3 bricks at a time ahead of time. I put each serving in a small zip-lock bag so that it's ready to put in the food bowl and add water to when I want it. Any remaining clods of food can be crushed with my fingers while it's in the bag, making it easier to mix with the water. I got this to feed a 20 lbs cat who had allergies that was making him lick areas bald and go into seizures, during which he peed everything. The vets gave him steroid shots which controlled the itching for only a few weeks, and I was told the meds would lead to worse problems over time. He was too fat to clean himself as well. The nuggets help me control the portions. My cat slowly lost 5 lbs, no longer has that itchiness or those seizures. His fur is soft and glossy now.
