Answer:	Yes, I think it is. The dog is approximately the size of the American Girl pets (you can see their website for dimensions) but unlike their pets, this is very soft and can be a good cuddly/bedtime toy. A few of the accessories might need to be put away until she's older (the bone, for example) if having little toys is an issue. Honestly, my kids play more with this as a toy than as a companion for the 18" dolls. It's a beautiful little set and unlike the FurReal animals it's super-cuddly :)

Answer:	No, these are made by one of GILDANs manufacturing partners in Honduras. The quality is still lower than the old American Apparel made in the states. They have improved a bit though: I’ve made two purchases since the company was bought out, and these sweats are a much better quality fabric than a couple t shirts I bought that are total trash. The sweats are solid but you may need to re stitch the seam at the cuff. Los Angeles Apparel is definitely better quality but a bit more stylized and more expensive. Also worth knowing the GILDAN was using prison labor for a while in Honduras, and uses mass-firing in Honduras to keep wages low.
