1. Measure width of your pet: measure the widest part of your pet, usually across the chest and add around 1’’.

Measuring Your Track Height

Measuring Your Track Height Correctly is the most important step when getting a Sliding Glass Pet Door. While sliding glass doors tend to have similar height ranges, not all Sliding Glass Doors are Standard heights. Endura Flap Sliding Panel Doors have adjustment ranges to give you some leeway when measuring, but it is still crucial you measure correctly.

When measuring you want to make sure you measure from the absolute lowest point inside the track to the tallest point inside the track. Our vinyl panels only work with tracks like the one shown above. If you have a monorail track (less common), which looks like an upside-down U with the sliding glass door sitting on top of it, please select our Thermo Panel option instead (monorail adapter sold separately).

Measuring Your Pet

Measuring your pet's height correctly is crucial in ensuring you purchase a flap that your pet can comfortably use for their entire life. You need to keep in mind how high off the ground the pet door will be installed, this space between the ground and the bottom of the flap is called the Step Over. The Step Over should be as low as possible for your dog to go through comfortably, this will make it easier for your pet as they get older.

The Distance from the Floor to the Top of the Flap should be at least 1" higher than the tallest point of your pet's back.

Step Over + Flap Height = At least 1" higher than the tallest point of pet's back.

We recommend replicating the dimensions of your planned pet door installation on cardboard and seeing if your pet can comfortably go through it.

Draw the cat door frame on a paper board and cut it down.

Question:	Cannot use the door latch anymore? Does that make sense? You have to put a piece of lumber or some other inconvenient device to open and close? Or leave door unlocked
Answer:	do not know the vendors listed weight limit but we have had some men pushing 190 sitting on them with no problem.
Question:	In the white picture, the glass doesn't seem clear. Is the panel see through as described
Answer:	They appear to be heavy enough to withstand a good wind. We haven't taken ours out for the Spring yet, so I can't tell for sure. Most of the weight is in the legs and frame. If the wind were to hit it at the right angle, it might tip them over, but I doubt they would blow off the patio.
Question:	Is there a night-time closure to keep raccoons out
Answer:	No they are not padded but because they are mesh seats they are very comfortable
