The issue is the opening of the net as it just fits over the small bale. If you stuff the net with loose hay you can get a bale and a half in it. I know someone who threaded a longer rope which opened it up more so that's a thought. Great net otherwise, hope this helps. |

But odd thing is a horse generally likes the kind of bit they are used to, even if it is a hard bit, jointed or whatever. I do remember this middle part the horses can lick it and spin it with their tongue. They either like that (or don't). They are 'horsey'. I bought an older Appaloosa who was used to a hard bit and I couldn't control him with this one. He just pushed right through it. I can only say it is a well made piece, easy on the mouth IMO |

You have adjustments on the pole strap as well as the other 3 straps attached directly to the muzzle. The muzzle is not as high as some muzzles and seems alittle softer. Less for them to catch on something to rub off. I like the no snap of the pole strap. It holds well. I just use the under the jaw strap to take on and off. It works well and is less money. |
