Answer:	I would say that if it is fastened securely, and it does have the ability to tighten under the pups ribcage, it should do the job just fine as you can adjust the harness to the proper fit making it nice and snug.

Answer:	My dog managed to wiggly out twice! My dog is a leash puller, but he can't get out of he's pulling. He can, however, get out if I retract the leash so that he's right next to me (no slack on the leash), he can get out. Imagine you putting your hands up to take a T shirt off. That's how my dog got out not once, but twice even after tightening the strap around his body. The strap hugs him so tight, that I have to be careful not to clip his hair when buckling.

Answer:	I take my dogs for a 1.1 mi walk at night when it is cooler. The part around the chest is an open net so I don't think it adds much heat. My dog willingly puts his head into because he is looking forward to the walk.

Maybe find a cylindrical item and let it stretch the neckhole? Huge is no good because he could slip out. I was worried too, when I read the reviews that said the unadjustable style was tight on some breeds. It's frustrating. Sorry you are having this problem! :( We just want our pups to be safe and comfy! Mine is a 16 pound Terrier Chi combo. Surprised his big dome got through the hole!

Answer:	I believe the extra small would be perfect. The thing you must remember is that the neck opening is NOT adjustable. The adjustable part is the portion that goes around the body. 🐾 My Frenchie's head and ears grew before his body 🤣 I had to go one size up to fit over his head and ears. Great quality and the matching leash makes for a perfect set.

Answer:	This particular harness runs extremely small. With a muscular pug that size I would look at non-“Junior” harness. Even then Puppia runs small. My 12 # Pom needed a large, but could’ve probably used a fully extended strap medium as well.

The Wildflower Harness A (over-the-head)features a small flower pattern and solid schemed. It is a fashionable summer harness featuring an adjustable chest belt and Puppia rubber label on the chest. Matching leashes are available and sold separately. Available in Pink and Sky Blue in sizes ranging from Small to Extra Large. Please note that because these products were created with small breeds in mind, larger sizes (i.e. Large, Extra-Large, etc.) do not necessarily mean larger breeds. Please refer to image of the size chart. It is very important to measure your dog with a tape measure according to the size chart. As a general rule of thumb, if your dog falls in between sizes, it is usually better to go up a size. Weight figures are for estimates only. Always use actual measurements. Please note that when measuring your dog for clothing, it's very important to have an accurate measurement of your dog's neck and chest girth. IMPORTANT: Please note that when measuring your dog, the measurement for the neck must be taken at the BASE OF THE NECK and chest girth must be taken behind the front legs. Also it is important to take into account the size of the dog's head as well as neck girth and chest girth. Since some dogs have a much larger head than their neck, please be sure that the neck opening is large enough to slide over your dog's head.
