Answer:	Yes and no. The tang extends to the handle, but is reduced to a rat tail tang (like the tang in most Moraknife's). I'm not saying that's a bad thing. The Morakniv Bushman Black has a rat tail tang and I've put that knife through bushcraft torture (crafting, lashings, digging, batoning firewood, skinning animals, thatching roofs, wood carving, cutting through heavy brush, making rope, sparking ferro rods with its factory cut 90° spine and making thousands of fires with it as well as countless other chores) and it's still an amazing knife. After all of that, you wouldn't believe it has a rat tail tang (or even care for that matter). However, if its really bugging you, consider the standard bastard mill file. Answer:	Yes. Hollow handle and fairly light blade. But of course, this is a subjective question...I don't know what YOU mean by "light", right?

Answer:	The handle is hollow. The blade is held in via a screw/bolt inside the handle under the guard. Unfortunately, my 12 yr old was able to break it but I think that was due more to misuse than quality of the knife.

Answer:	I don't recall how I received it and how it was packed, but the knife is the same brand that I had when I was in the service in the 70's. It is a tough knife, it is a sharp knife that holds it's edge. It is not as pretty as those TV survivalist hawk but it "gits er done".
Question:	To use as non pull harness, in attaching to the front ring, is there a best way to position the leash for walking
Answer:	In the 1960s and 70s this knife was manufactured by a couple of companies, many carry a Camillus mark. The month and year are stamped on the side of the pommel. Mine says 3 1967. AFAIK this was standard regardless of the maker. The knife was standard issue to helicopter Marine, Army and Navy Pilots that trained at Hunter Army Air Field, along with a strobe light and flare pen. Many of our training flights were over water and the many fine marshy and swampy areas around Savannah and up to Paris Island. I very much doubt that any consideration was given to whether a knife marked Ontario or Camillus would betray the national identity of men wearing flight suits with subdued insignia, GI black leather boots and carrying a S&W .38 revolver.

Question:	Does the service dog patches come with it
Answer:	Well,I can't say that I have tried with this PARTICULAR knife (as I want to keep the blade relatively unmolested) however, every other knife I own will throw sparks. Provided the ferro-rod is not oxidized over (which just takes a few strokes to clean off) this knife should be just fine for that. I would say this is a decent survival knife - relatively light, and good edge with a really well made sheath - but for pure survival, I would look for something a little heavier with a pommel. For hiking/camping I would look for something lighter weight. This knife, in my opinion really has a niche role where it fits perfectly as a medium/big game skinning/dressing knife.
