Answer:	I have a SMALL for a 7lb female cat. We use the harness to keep her from (possibly) falling off the balcony. It still allows her to jump and try to catch birds (we have a bird feeder) -- no worries, its supervised so no birds are actually harmed. Once she did wrestle out of it because she got scared of a frog. Other than that it serves its purpose. I wouldn't use it for walking your cat.

Answer:	I ordered a small in this harness because the XS that I ordered in a different style was too small. My Shih Tzu puppy was about 6 to 7 pounds when ordered. She slipped out of it the first time, but I tightened the Velcro and never had another problem. She is 11 pounds now and it still fits fine. Love this harness and leash combo so ordered a medium for when she reaches her max of 14-15 pounds.

Answer:	I don't know of any. My rescue Yorkie was afraid of such sounds too. I just gradually desensitized him by giving him a tiny treat (even a piece of his dry food!) as a reward at the same time I undid the velcro (with harness off for 2 days, followed by 2 days with harness on). He started to equate the treat with the velcro, so that the sound of velcro was a good thing! That method has worked with a number of his issues (Swiffer WetJet, vacuum cleaner, getting his eyes cleaned and eye ointment, etc.) He's now much more relaxed, self-assured, unstressed, and is off all the meds Xanax, Prozac, acepromazine) he was on at various times before I adopted him. Take it slowly. Your pups will be better off and so much happier if they learn that the sound of velcro equals something good, that there's nothing to be afraid of. (So many things these days use velcro -- sneakers, jackets, dog harnesses, etc. -- it would be a terrible shame if your babies were frightened of them all.) Best of luck.

1. Connect: First snap the Shoulder Metal Buckles up to connect the 2 pieces.

2. Put-on: Slide your dog's head through the front opening, with the side with the handle facing up. The front hook-and-loop panel should be on your dog’s chest.

3. Adjust: Adjust the Chest and Belly Straps accordingly to fit your dog's body.

4. Secure: Buckle up on both sides of the belly

5. "2-finger Rule": You should be able to fit Two Fingers between your dog's body and any part of the harness.



Tips on Adjusting the Straps:



1. To tighten the Neck straps, feed the strap into the slider, bringing the slider closer to the Front Leash Attachment. Reverse for extending the straps.

2. To tighten the Belly straps, feed the strap into the slider. Reverse for extending the straps.
