It's not going to train them to "get along", but it might help break them from the "going nuts" behavior.

Answer:	The first setting is for the leds only, the middle one "standing" is more for correction so they learn commands. The "lying down" is for barking and to stop aggression. That is why the dog is in a submissive position. Please do not hold the button down as it causes undo discomfort, use short and quick button pushes, especially for correction otherwise it will seem more like a punishment. On the 3rd button "submissive" remember if an aggressive dog is attacking push the button in semi-long bursts, but remember your own dog will also react. It has worked great on the worst barker in the house.

Answer:	When you see them do unwanted behaviors, turn it on and it will train them to not do it anymore or their ears will hurt.

Answer:	I'm sorry that I don't have a good answer, but this little house didn't help us at all. The big dogs next door never even slacked off on their barking. I never heard any sound from the barking device, but I think the sound the dog hears is when they bark. Sorry I can't help more.
Question:	Does it need to be pointed directly at where the barking occurs, or does it just need to be in the vicinity
Answer:	I keep it in my coat pocket when at the dog park. Just being within 16 feet works fine. No pointing at them. Indoor, I keep it on my end table. I just click the button from there. I have three little dogs and they can get pretty noisy barking at stuff outside. I give them two warnings then push the button and they don’t have any idea where it’s coming from. I love it.

Question:	How is this small device different than the full size one
Answer:	Great question. This one works by pushing the button. You point it at the dog and push. Its great for training, because you can supplement with commands. The large one is automatic, and technically has a longer range, but because it needs to be precisely positioned, is a bit harder to use. The big one is good for if the dog has a certain spot he usually barks, and you can try different settings to have it automatically activate and emit the ultrasonic sound at the desired time. For instance at the front door, or a particular spot in the backyard. But it needs to be dialed in so it only activates when there is barking. Otherwise, it will not work.
Question:	Our neighbor dogs jump and growl at the fence when we take our dog out will this help
Answer:	I can’t tell you if it would help but what I can tell you is I have tried it on my three dogs. I bought it hoping I could correct my Boston terrier from jumping on my little dogs and she paid no attention at all to it. I also wanted my yorkie to quit barking and she paid no attention to it. My tiny chihuahua who is very good and when I tried to correct the other two it scared her to death. She ran and hid.

Answer:	On the bottom there is a circular shaped lip that is the battery cover. Just pull on that. You may have to use a butter knife or a good fingernail. It takes a 9 volt battery.

Answer:	The device responds to loud noises. There are sensitivity settings to make it activate at varying intensities of loud noise. But if you set it low, so as to detect a whine, you will find that it will go off at other sounds as well, such as doors shutting, and the dog will become confused, and he wont respond to the device. This is why many people think the device "doesn't work". Well, it works if you use it correctly, and in moderation, and with other training. It isn't magic. I recommend the Sunbeam handheld bark control device, which is USER activated. That way you could decide when to push the button. This way, even for a quiet whine, you could train the dog. But still, do not overuse it or the dog will become desensitized or confused.
