Answer:	The wall between and my neighbor with the dogs (7) is about 11 feet tall. My patio cover is only about 10 feet tall, but I put this on top of my patio coverand it works. Don't know if it would work if it wasn't close to the top of the wall. It really works. You don't know how many sleepless nights we had beforewe purchased this item. My other neighbors had even taken the guy to court with no results. I'm sure glad I found this on Amazon.
