Answer:	Each airline has SPECIFIC regulations for carrier sizes. Most labeled airline approved are not in cabin approved. The height for more airlines is 8.5 inches tall. This is 11inches tall. It would be rejected at the counter typically when measured.

Answer:	I do not know the actual weight but I have the large and without a cat in the carrier it doesn't hardly weigh anything. It would be like carrying an empty overnight bag/or backpack if it is even that heavy. It is very light weight. My cat is a year old now and still fits in the large carrier but he does not have as much room. I am not sure what your wanting to put in the carrier but I would recommend going with the large size.

Answer:	My 10lb cat has a cozy fit. too much empty space makes the bag harder to carry, in my opinion.

My big guy, at 22 pounds, has claws so sharp and thick that the vet uses professional dog style clippers on them as I can't cut them myself. The carrier gets jumped on, slept on and in, and played with by all 8, and so far it has held up beautifully.
