Answer:	On my step for up to 150, it's 15 and 1/2 inches from floor to back of the top step. On my step unit that is for less heavy animals (I can't remember the actual weight) the height at the back of the top step is 16 inches, exactly. I hope that helps. My little dog loves them both, as do I. I really don't think you can go wrong on either unit. The key is the wider step so they can get on one before the move to the next, at least that's what The Baron, my dog, tells me...by his actions, of course. :) He's seven pounds.

Answer:	Hi there, the stairs are sturdy, however, I do not think the steps are wide enough for a large paw such as a St. Bernard. With that, Amazon’s return policy is awesome, so it may be worth the try.

Answer:	No this won't be suitable for a 33lb dog. I bought this for my senior cat and when she stepped on it, her feet sunk in it so much so that she was scared to climb it. I think a 33lb dog would not be sturdy on this at all and would sink into the steps rather than the steps providing support for him to climb. These are not sturdy steps, too soft.

Answer:	I have it on carpet, so not an issue, but I’d imagine that you could get one of the gripper things that you put under a rug to keep it still on hardwood and just cut it to size. Good luck!

Answer:	NO! The stairs are good for dogs under 20 lbs. Being soft makes them easier to turn over for larger dogs. I had to send mine back because of this.

Answer:	Hardly any assembly is required; it takes literally 30 seconds to do. And yes, I have an 18lb Cockapoo and a 62lb Pitbull and this thing handles them both going up and down it all day and doesn't "give" too much under either them. I've had this for many months now and it looks just as it did the day I got it. I couldn't recommend this more.
Question:	what is the length of the stairs - front to back on bottom
Answer:	17 in is the depth from front to back, 13 in is the height from floor to top of upper step (actually closer to 13 1/2 on mine) and 14 is the total width. Additionally, the bottom step is 8 1/2" deep, the top step is 8" deep. My little guy loves it.
