If your dog is under 65 pounds I recommend the Serta Cuddler instead. They are both made out of the same high quality upholstery and same memory foam. I have one of each. Love them. Best investment I ever made. |

They actually called me this past week (after posting my complaint right after purchase quite a while ago) and reached out to ask if they could replace the cover that ripped the same day I put it down for my dog. I did not respond as the cover ripped and the foam inside was shredded the same place the cover was torn so I would almost need a whole new bed to make it right. I just put a thick blanket inside the bolster and that seems to be working OK. I doubt a new cover will correct the problem, it will likely just rip again. However, they DID reach out to me based only on my complaint on Amazon so I commend the integrity of their customer service . . . . but I doubt the result would be any different with a new cover for me because of the quality of the materials. You may have better luck with a new cover since your only issue was a zipper. |

She had an accident in her bed while crated and I was at work. The bed itself washed up beautifully, the waterproof cover for the memory foam base did its job. However, there was some leakage through to the bolster pillow "couch arms", and that was just gross. All I could do is clean it up by wiping with a damp cloth and let it dry out. I would have been so much happier if there was a waterproof cover for the bolster pillow as well. |

And just a side note, my 10 year old son joked about how it was big enough for him when we initially unpackaged it, laid in it, and he was absolutely right-and he's 80 lbs! However, the mattress foam and plush inside are spot clean only. The bolsters have some water resistance, while the mattress has a water proof lining. I hope this helps! I would say it depends on your pups preference, if they like to sleep curled up , a large would be a great fit as the dimensions are 36in x 27in x 3in with a sleep surface of 27in x 22in. However if they like to sleep sprawled out then I would suggest a jumbo size as the dimensions for it are 44in x 35in x 4in with a sleep space of 32in x 29in. |

| Answer: | We have rescue Pits and they are renowned shedders all year round, so washing the dog beds thoroughly and using the laundry sanitizer routinely is a must for us. As far as the foam core, and while the cover is being laundered, we liberally spray it with aerosol disinfectant (I know finding a can of Lysol right now is not easy, but other effective options will suffice) and allowing it to dry in the sun, as that in itself will kill bacteria. |
