Answer:	I’ve had littermaid boxes since the 1990s and have used many brands of litter. My current favorite is Arm&Hammer clump and seal Slide. This litter clumps well and is less prone to sticking to the bottom of the box and seems to track a bit less than other boxes. Also keeps smell under control as well as fresh step which was my second favorite when litter is changed every 7 days for 1 cat.

Answer:	I have 2 older model litter maid. A single cat and a multi cat. The ones that are taupe colored. I'm down to just the single cat box now as I tried using crystal litter in the multi box and it killed it. Wish I could get that model again as from what I've been reading about the new 3.2 it eventually turns into a manual box. It also says that it only cleans after 20 minutes after the cat does it's business. I can't imagine your cat's poop smell is different than mine but the model I have cleans 5 minutes after the cats done and even then I can smell it until it's contained. I'm still researching the other options for less than $$$. Don't like the cardboard tray of one type but just found out that you can buy a permanent tray vs having to replace it and making more unrecyclable trash. And it also has a 5-10-15 minute timer. The litter robot is quite expensive so I'm going to try the scoop free. But if they still had the version I have I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. Hope this was somewhat helpful.

Answer:	I like the blue better ONLY because I can see them better on the floor than the dye free, which look like shards of glass to me. They both work the same for me. And both track less than regular litter.

Answer:	Not that it comes with. What I do is get a garbage bag to slip the tray into. The lid covers it well enough however I am germ-a-phob and use a bag for extra coverage.

Question:	It says a tray lasts 30 days, but my cat's urine always goes through the bottom of the box and the bathroom smells terrible from urine leaks
Answer:	I'm not sure which size I got bc there was no receipt in the box. There was a sticker, however that said 17L x 9W x12"H which probably would have been good for an 8-10 pound cat. I didn't end up using this as the carrier had a rather strong chemical smell. Not sure whether that posed any danger, but I went with another alternative.
Question:	I've had mine three weeks and my cat refuses to use it. I will have to send it back soon. Any suggestions on getting him to use it
Answer:	I’m not certain but my 9 lb puppy for okay. Now he’s 13 lbs and frankly just too big all the way around. Hope that helps!

Answer:	I don't know. I've never hooked it up to a seat belt in my car or on a plane. It's like a duffle bag that you carry over your shoulder. If you're taking your dog on a plane, you just put it under the seat in front of you. It must be able to fit under the seat. I had to purchase the smaller carrier.

Answer:	It probably will be, especially if they are used to travel. We travelled with three large cats (1 carrier per cat) and they were not used to travel and clawed their way out while on the plane and one went running down the isle. I have a tendency to think that dogs are more behaved than cats in these situations so you may be fine.

Question:	What can I do if the ramp breaks off
Answer:	The plastic ramp has little hooks on either side that hang on a rod by the waist receptacle. I would use a Dremel to make a hole in the ramp and use a paperclip to go around the rod. Better yet contact the manufacture and get a replacement for the ramp. The ramp has notches to hold the cover for the waste receptacle when cleaning and falls back in place to close and cover the waste when done so the ramp seems important for the design. Answer:	The AC adapter that comes with it is a normal wall plug in with a110vac US plug. It steps it down to 12VDC. I imagine it would be easy to adapt if your country uses 220v.

Answer:	Yes, I use Petco’s SoPhresh Odor Lock crystal litter in this box and it works really well as long as I don’t try to sift the box right after my cats have peed in it— you need to give the litter a little time to absorb it. It’s nice not having to dislodge clumping litter from the sifting grate like I did when I used clumping clay. I have two cats and find I need to change out the litter every two weeks.
Question:	Can i know how big is it? If it will fit a Maine Coon
Answer:	I had a small cat and she didn't have much room to turn and dig. She tended to potty on the edges of the box making it much harder to deal with. I think a Maine Coon might not have any space at all and that beautiful fur would get messed up.

Of course I also use small crystal litter which doesn't stick to the plastic as bad as clumping would (if you do this, you'll want to add a strip of duckt tape along the front edge of the part that faces downward when you raise the handle--that is designed to allow some litter to drop down into the bottom tray to help with odor control, but with fine grains, you loose A LOT of litter unless you tape it). Best labor saver I've ever had though, and I've tried all the robotic boxes except the genie and the litter robot.

Answer:	The price goes up and down, but it certainly has gone up over time. THE GREAT PROBLEM, though, which I am writing as of March 2017, is that they CHANGED the refill system. There are less pieces (which I assume means more profit) but it now takes me about 12 minutes to change the litter, whereas the old system was about 4 minutes. THIS IS TERRIBLE AND I WILL BE LEAVING THEM. The whole point of scoop free was that it was easy to swap out the trays.

The diameter of both versions is about the same, around 19”, but we have re-positioned the conveyor and made some plastic pieces in the bowl smaller, giving your cat about 20% more usable space in the litter bowl. The bowl is also deeper with a higher litter guard, ensuring that litter stays in the actual bowl.
Question:	I had the previous model of this litter box. I loved how it worked, but the motor burned out twice in a year. How long is the warranty for this model
Answer:	The first year, the motor broke three times. They sent me new litter boxes each time. The third time, the guy sent me the new model with a motor that can be removed. That litter box lasted quite a while. It just broke again (probably my fault for letting the box get so full), and they are sending me a new motor. It's way past the warranty date on the original box that I received. So, although the motors do break somewhat frequently, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this box. The new model has a good motor, and when they break, the company replaces it. I have no worries about durability when their customer service is second to none.

Answer:	I never have but that might be a good thing to do my cat box needs to be changed every 100 uses where because she is only 1 cat she is supposed to last 2 months but for her it just doesn’t. Also, I'm noticing that the plastic tray has urine stains on it and I can't get the scent out. The disposable tray is *FAR* superior, but it's also far more expensive. It's not a perfect system.

I mounted a 70" over my bed and it fell, when it fell it punctured my California King sized waterbed spilling 60,000 gallons of water onto my floor and subsequently collapsing the second floor of my home onto the first floor killing my family and, more importantly, my new PS4. This poor decision has ruined my game console, so think about it before you mount it there. Btw, if you mount it, make sure you use screws or something, Velcro IS NOT good for mounting TV's on the ceiling. HTH
