Answer:	By compost I’m assuming you mean like “mulch mix”? Definitely not! It says on the bag that used litter should not be intended for gardening. We have a septic tank and I made the mistake when I first had this to sift and throw the waste in the toilet and flush it away. It was just a few pellets stuck to the poop but in time and 550.00 bucks later I learned when clay dissolves it sticks to the lines from the house and the septic tank, so I wouldn’t recommend doing that either. It’s still the greatest cat litter system I have ever owned next to the “CAT GENIE” which I couldn’t continue using when we moved because the way the bathrooms were set up and I didn’t have a laundry room.

Answer:	Zeolite and silica gel. You can Google them and will give you tips. And warm you not to let your animals eat them. I love the system and have 2 boxes for 4 cats. So much easier than 20 or 40lb have of regular litter. I change the 2pads every morning. And wash the boxes totally every 3-4 weeks. I rinse the drawer every AM when I change pads.

Question:	How does a 3lb bag last a month? I clean everyday but always have to replace
Answer:	I use the largest size bag - maybe the 7 lb? When I clean the box I make sure that I am only removing the feces, I do not remove any litter. I absolutely love this litter box. I change mine out maybe every 6 weeks or so.

Question:	What is the total length of the plastic per roll
Answer:	No idea. About 3 years ago I switched to the FRK brand as it works just as well in containing smell and lasts longer per cartridge. One advantage to the Genie brand though is that the plastic flows a bit more evenly from the cartridges (well designed) while the other brand tends to have odd sags in spots as the contents gets heavier/fuller--making it not as efficient of usage of the total bagging in the supply. But although those sags create some dead space it's not enough "loss" to offset the extra length per cartridge so fewer swap-outs between cartridges. YMMV. Also, I believe Genie brand is Canadian while the competitor is (no surprise) Chinese, if this is a concern for how you spend your dollars.
Question:	The picture for the 12- pack shows a "convenience 2 pack". Does this mean I would get a total of 24 refill cartridges
Answer:	No. If you look at the close-up photos, it simply means you will get two standard 14' refills in one package (they show a photo of the two pack). So you will get a quantity of six packages with 2 refills per package or a total of 12 litter refills.

Answer:	While it does come in 2-packs, it's 6 2-packs to the case. So--12 individual units total.
