Answer:	Yes they do have a stop and they work GREAT! Just used them for the first time this past Saturday on "my owner" and he did not even flinch. Answer:	you just place it in the middle (i know it moves), and then when you put the dog's nail in there, it can only go so far and not passed that point....the first and only time i used it, i was still hesitant, so really i just cut a little bit of the nail off, not knowing if the 'stop' would be too far or not.....i think if it's your first time, you must determine how long the nail is, and if you put the dogs nail in there and you think the 'stop' is too close to the point where you're gonna hurt the dog, you pull back.....i think the 'stop' will work only if the nails are really long.....but i totally agree that there should be some instructions for us novices......hope this helps.........good luck!

Answer:	Yes, I would recommend them for a larger breed dog such as a Labrador Retriever, but not so much for smaller breeds. I purchased them for my 25 lb Cocker Spaniel/Lhasa Apso mix & they were big for him, in my opinion. As far as quality goes, however, I feel these are good clippers.

Answer:	No, unless nails are smaller size and not thick. I purchased the Large size nail trimmer to use at work, I'm a dog groomer. Large isn't excessively big and works for Labradors, Great danes etc.

Answer:	These are really good clippers, sharp with no splitting of the nails . They have a large cutting surface so I would be careful using on a medium size dog like a beagle. I use on all three of my collies which range in size from 82lbs. to 61lbs.

I don't believe it will make me "cured" since once your remove the the item your toes go back to their original form it's more of a quick fix to having your toes bunched together or over lapping depending on what you need to happen. The ideal time to trim your cat's nails is when he or she is calm, happy and relaxed. Keep in mind that it's best to point your cat's claw away from you during trimming to prevent scratching and you might also want to cover your legs with a folded up towel or blanket for added protection.

Answer:	I assume yes. Never had a bird.

Answer:	These might work for smaller dogs but our recommendation would be to purchase clippers made specifically for dogs.

Answer:	I think it would work well for all domestic cats as your clipping just the sharp tip. The thickest thumb tip I clipped was probably around 2mm. If you cat is chill, the V shaped spring loaded lever style is also nice for cats to thicker nailed dogs. I like these JW's because you can keep them in position in hand as you moved on to next nail. The Spring loaded lever style requires hand repositioning which makes it more difficult with a squirrelly animal..... more specific to your question..if you can cut your cat's nails with a pair of human nail clippers, JW will be fine. Otherwise, consider lever style clips.
Question:	i've bought some this style that are so flimsy the finger holes overlap when when i close to clip. are these flimsy
Answer:	I have no complaints with the cat nail clippers I bought from JW Pet Company. They are tight enough to cause no problems when clipping. The only problem is that my cat does not desire to have the nails clipped, and requires restraint when doing so. The clippers are fine.
