Answer:	We use them as treats as is no water added or I sprinkle on top of our prescription wet food. But all of our babies LOVE them! As long as tour just using as a treat or occasional feeding then I'd say dry is fine. We add water to our wet food as well. Your cats can never have enough water.

Question:	whats the protein and fat percentages
Answer:	The serving instructions are a bit vague as the instructions are written to provide this product in Tablespoons based on a cats’ weight. It would have been easier understood based on number of bites, since each freeze dried raw boost topper is quite large. For my 8 lb cat I feed her 5 freeze dried raw boost toppers per day. This is provided with her 1/4 cup of Instinct Duck and Instinct Rabbit dry food that I’ve mixed together. She has maintained her weight on this diet for the last 3 years.
Question:	How much should I use to top each meal
Answer:	Sorry for the delay. Yes, it is hard food. Use a fork to make a powder and then mix with wet food. My cat loved it. My cat also had teeth problems. It took some time to find the proper proportion of powder and wet food, try 25% powder 75% wet first. Too much powder = constipation. I hope it works for you.

Answer:	It says on the package: Made in the USA "with the finest ingredients from around the world". So I'd call that a big fat "no". That basically means they get all the ingredients in China, then make it here so they can say "made in the USA". So technically yes, it's "put together" in the USA, but the ingredients are from other countries, which usually means China. Where there's no regulations they have to obide by with their livestock, etc. Their "chicken" could be dead rotting chickens that all died of a disease. Then they just grind it up & ship it off to the USA. Who knows what's actually in it. But when I read some of these reviews, looks like some batches are making cats pretty sick. I certainly don't want to Russian Roulette it with my baby boy & hope he gets a good bag.

Question:	How long does a 2 lb. box of Prowl usually last for the average to large sized cat
Answer:	That's a hard question to answer since I received only small pouches as samples. However...a 2lb box only contains about 4cups (1lb = 8oz), and I say "about" because with dry ingredients, it can be a bit more, or even less depending on the dried food settling in the box. My large boy, Simba, weighs approximately 18lbs. He gets a couple of 5.5oz cans of food per day. That's 11 oz of food everyday. Using Prowl will also depend on how much water you use to make it palatable to a feline's taste...and mine are finicky. According to their own feeding guidelines, a cat between 6-10 lbs would get 1/2 cup per day (not including the water). At my house, a box of Prowl would last not even a week. In my opinion, contact them and ask for samples. A good business will always do that for future clients. I saved lots of money by doing that. My crew just wouldn't go near it. Hope this helped.

It's really inconvenient to mix it up every time meal time comes around so I make enough for 2-3 days and refrigerate until I'm ready to use it. Sometimes you need to add a little extra warm water after the 1st meal because it can thicken in the fridge.

With this, we were required by AAFCO to increase our Vitamin K levels. The best way to provide the Vitamin K required on a consistent basis, while also maintaining a high level of meat ingredients that meet our raw nutrition philosophy, was to use Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (MSBC), the only Vitamin K3 supplement that has no objection for use in pet food by the FDA. Because the level of naturally-occurring Vitamin K varies drastically in other natural ingredients, we supplement our food with Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex to be compliance with AAFCO’s new rules and to guarantee the we are providing the correct level of Vitamin K at all times. We only use it in the recipes where it is necessary due to the high amount of fish ingredients!

The third ingredient was changed from tapioca to turkey meal: Good change. The forth ingredient chicken was changed to Menhaden Fish Meal: Good change because it’s concentrated protein and it adds fatty acids, though part of it gets lost in the cooking and drying process. Fifth ingredient Menhaden fish meal was changed to peas: OK change. The new formula eliminated the Freeze Dried Ground Chicken Bone from the Freeze Dried Chicken kibble coating. This change eliminates excess of calcium and phosphorus which is a good change. In general terms, the formula made good changes because it turned into a formula which first 4 ingredients are meat and fish, only the fifth ingredient is a carb, (peas), which is a low glycemic carb that provides a good source of vegetable protein. Answer:	It's actually 3 pounds of food once water is added. If you look at the front of the bag, it shows that the 14 ounce bag of food makes 3 pounds of food when the correct amount of water is added during feeding.
Question:	Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do with the dusty, ground food meal at the bottom of the bag? There is a lot of it and I hate to waste it
Answer:	Actually, I run each serving (3 bricks/nuggets) through my mini-food processor in order to break them down. It had been messy when I tried breaking them down in the bowl with a spoon. I take the time to process the whole bag 3 bricks at a time ahead of time. I put each serving in a small zip-lock bag so that it's ready to put in the food bowl and add water to when I want it. Any remaining clods of food can be crushed with my fingers while it's in the bag, making it easier to mix with the water. I got this to feed a 20 lbs cat who had allergies that was making him lick areas bald and go into seizures, during which he peed everything. The vets gave him steroid shots which controlled the itching for only a few weeks, and I was told the meds would lead to worse problems over time. He was too fat to clean himself as well. The nuggets help me control the portions. My cat slowly lost 5 lbs, no longer has that itchiness or those seizures. His fur is soft and glossy now.

Answer:	My cat had the same problem. You need to see a vet and work out a weight-loss calorie amount. My vet told me that my cat (~16 lbs) needs 250 calories per day to achieve healthy weight loss. He has been losing about 1/2 pound every month on this diet. I feed him low carb/ high protein wet cat food. My vet also recommended food with gravies, they tend to be lower in calories. This is NOT a guide or a recommendation. This is just the plan I worked out with my vet.
