Answer:	I had feed the fancy feast medleys salmon florentine to my baby girl for years with no problems until this past year. She only licks the gravy off and doesn't eat much of the food itself and it nearly killed her. She started throwing up several times a day, having diarrhea all over the place and quit peeing except after squatting for 10 to 15 minutes a few drops of urine with blood in it. I quit giving it to her and after a week and a half without she got better. So I waited another two weeks and because she was begging for it I gave it another try. Within a week after licking the gravy from one can a day she was right back in the same shape. So I know it was the food. I tried different model numbers of the food so I know it was the food. I contacted purina and their suggestion to fix this was send coupons for more of their poison. Online it says this is one of the worse foods you can feed your baby,cat. I don't know what they done to this but NEVER AGAIN!

It is pricey but it is because it is a specialty food (urinary tract health for these) and Amazon is typically a little cheaper than pet stores for these. Also, before I found I could get these on Amazon, half the time my pet store would be out. This is a better bet and always in stock.

Answer:	I didn't put my cat on this until we started having an issue with bladder crystals. She's 13 and seems to be doing well on it. But I would think that if it's preventing my cat from getting bladder crystals again, it may offer preventative value for potential future problems if your cat's breed is known for urinary issues.
Question:	My vet is suggesting Science Diet c/d food (which, of course, they want to sell me), is this a comparable product
Answer:	If your vet prescribes you something like Hill's C/D or Royal Canin SO it means you could harm your cat feeding them anything else. I keep my cat that needs the prescription food eating that and my cat's that don't need the prescription this stuff. It's worth feeding the more expensive prescription foods, it's better than getting an $8,000 bill from an emergency vet all at once.

Answer:	When you find it at a good price just as in a store better grab fast not go 2 aisles over then come back because even if people place in a cart or better,as I do, put in my essentials and subscribe and save, right away the computer takes it out of stock. There isn't a person there watching you shop or even handling your order until it gets to invoicing and shipping, then it is hands on. Answer:	Yep, Jan 2020 is fine, Feb 2020 they don't touch. I called the company and they confirmed the change but assurred me the cats wouldn't tell the difference. Um, he didn't wonder why I called, I guess.

Answer:	I've done once when I fed a street cat (it was abroad), and I didn't have any bowl or plate. After he ate about half, I decided to feed using a wood branch I picked up from the ground just in case the cat might injure the tongue.

Answer:	I used a pumice stone (can buy them in the cleaning aisle as well as with pedicure supplies - get the cheapest one) to clean off the water deposits and that worked great. To prevent future deposits, I agree with the other reviews that recommend using filtered water. Question:	Where is this cat food made? is it made in the usa
Answer:	They are essentially the same thing. Both are made by the same company, have the same capacity, use the same filters, etc. The difference between the two is the shape, so which one is best is really a personal preference. As I have mine located along a wall in the kitchen I thought the Pagoda was a better choice for me and would take less space.I don't own the Avalon, but I would presume that it would be slightly easier to clean than the Pagoda as it would not have corners to deal with. That said, I have not had any real issues cleaning the Pagoda so...I think these ceramic fountains are great, especially compared to the plastic units that are available. My only real gripes with them are: 1) The filters need to be changed at least every 3 weeks and don't have as much charcoal in them as some other units I have owned. Be prepared to be buying supplies on a regular basis with either choice; 2) there is a plastic "nipple" inside that keeps water out of the power supply stem (located inside the tower) and mine ripped early on in ownership and I have not found replacements available online. I have been successfully using duct tape to seal the stem since.

Question:	I always check expiration dates before buying. When ordering can and dry pet food online how do I know how fresh they are going to be when delivered
Answer:	Joyce, I've never had a problem ordering from Amazon. The expiration date on my current order is Aug 2016. Amazon stands behind their products and would send a replacement overnight if you found the dates were expired. I buy my litter, cat food,etc. from Amazon. So much easier than putting the heavy litter bag in a cart, loading and unloading from the car. They deliver right to the door.
Question:	The instructions say: "Feed an average size cat 1 can per 2.5 pounds of body weight daily." So for a 10-pound cat, you'd feed them about 4 cans/day
Answer:	How much to feed a cat depends on their age, size, activity level, and whether pregnant or nursing. Wet food is healthier- dry food can cause crystals or urinary bladder stones especially in males. ( I know from experience. My kitty spent 1 week in the hospital and $4000 later- I was told not to feed him any dry food.) The vet also told me to feed my 12 lb. kitty two 3 oz. cans of food a day. This amount can be divided into 4 portions. More than 2 cans, if your cat is not active, will cause weight gain. Cats love this food and they are experts at manipulation and begging! Keep a watch on their weight. If they are gaining- decrease amount. If losing weight- slightly increase amount fed.
