Answer:	The aerosol is .50% permethrin. Acceptable levels for a flea/tick spray directly on the cat is .05-.1% so this is 10 times the amount. Check this out on the ASPCA website. New labels after 2017 which I have yet to find anywhere advocate that the spray is potentially fatal to cats and "not for broadcast use". Yes, indeedy.

I would actually recommend a different product like Gordon's Permethrin-10. It is MUCH stronger and mixing directions are on the bottle. We were inundated by surprise by an avalanche of fleas! One application of Gordon's decimated them and 2 months later they have not returned. It is not inexpensive but it does a great job, which for me, makes it well worth the money so my furbabies aren't eaten alive

Answer:	Yes - I sprayed it all over my couch - separated the pillows and cushions and let everything sit overnight and in the morning put my couch back together. There is no odor or staining. Stuff is wonderful. Only had to use it once.

Answer:	I haven't used Raid for many years and don't know about the toxins listed on a can of it. I do know that Raid would be poisonous to animals or people, if ingested. I have used Adams spray for a very long time. It has never caused any side effects in any of the animals I have used it on. It is a very effective product that I rely on for flea control for my dogs as well as the wildlife animals that I rehabilitate. I wouldn't necessarily judge the product by how it smells.
Question:	Should I shampoo the carpet & furniture before I use the spray
Answer:	To anyone wanting to shampoo their carpets before using this. Don't. It may kill some of the existing fleas but it will actually cause eggs to hatch. Vacuum like crazy, spray the vacuum container, close it back up and let the fleas in there die. Empty it. Get some 20 mule team Borax and shake it all over your carpet and couch, and fabric furniture and sweep it in and let it stay down. It will help dry up the eggs, and dehydrate the fleas. Every time you vacuum, make sure you put some more back down. Use the Adams to spray your house. This stuff is excellent. I also recommend using flea traps that use a night light and sticky paper. That way you can keep tabs on how you are doing, by the number of fleas that you find in the traps. I also want to state, that Harts and Sargeant, and off brand flee drops for your pets shoulder blades DO NOT WORK! Please don't waste your money. Either get Advantage or Frontline. Or you can get Capstar of Comfortis, which are oral treatments. I hope this helps people. I worked in the Grooming industry for many years and have helped a lot of people effectively get rid of their fleas. Good luck, and please gives these tips a try. It is a lot better than bombing your house. You can also initially have an exterminator come to your house. But you will have to maintain your prevention routine for several weeks. You should be able to restore peace in a flea free home in about a month. Also, this can be used for other insects as well. You can spray a flying wasp and it will fall dead within seconds.

Answer:	the manufacturer says one per room , so yes 7 cans. I had a bad infestation of fleas despite treating my cats with Frontline and setting off 7 cans of Zodiac fogger....I finally bought a bag of diatomaceous earth at a feed mill...it's a food grade product that is added with ground grains to kill pests.....anyway I scattered the stuff everywhere and it still took almost 2 weeks before I was free of fleas ....It's pretty cheap at about $1 per pound for a 50 lb sack. Smaller bags cost upwards of $2 lb. Considering poisons that kill fleas can cost hundred of dollars to be applied by licensed pro's , diatomaceous earth is a safer and far cheaper way to go.

Answer:	Under "Important Information" it states: "Active Ingredients: Peppermint Oil...0.20%, Eugenol (from Clove plants)...0.46%, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (plant-derived)...1.78%, Inert Ingredients* ...97.56%, *Water, Sodium Benzoate (preservative widely used in foods)." I believe the ingredient list given by "anonymous da" is for the dog version (https://www.amazon.com/Vets-Best-Natural-Flea-Spray/dp/B003PRI6OC). I haven't purchased either, just going by the information given on the product pages.

Question:	I read that pepperment oil is harmful to cats-what is everyone's take on this
Answer:	Most essential oils are toxic to cats. Normally we, and other animals, have an enzyme in our liver to break down the components of essential oils. However, cats do not have this enzyme. So, the toxic components of the oils biomagnify (build up) over time, and cause severe liver damage, neurological issues, immune system failure, and eventually death. Think of it this way, dogs cannot have too much chocolate for a very similar reason. Their bodies were not designed to digest and break down cacao like ours is. Eventually, too much chocolate will kill them.
Question:	What is the difference between this product (for cats) vs the same home spray marketed toward dogs? And why is this one so much more expensive
Answer:	Brittany's answer is not exactly correct. Close, though. The "cat" version simply reduces the amount of clove oil (eugenol) and the surfactant, sodium lauryl sulfate. Thank you to Vet's Best for being on top of that. The "cat" version will work just fine on dogs and as a spray for bedding and carpet. It is cedar oil that is toxic to cats (and who else?) and this product does not contain that.
