I did this and it's exactly the same thing. but.. 2. test your USB adapter that goes into the wall. I got the new pump and then discovered it wasn't the pump, it was the power adapter. Despite always having regularly cleaned it and having fresh filters in it constantly, I was not advised anywhere in the instructions, nor had I even thought of cleaning out the water pump. That was, until when I had dismantled it to clean one day, I just so happen to notice that there was a thick, coats of grime and what appeared to be acid buildup from the battery that supplied energy to the pump apparatus. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it. But then when I took it apart with a screwdriver just so that I could clean it out and take a better look at it, I nearly threw up. The pump which is about 2" x 2", had about 3 in.² of God knows what growing inside of it. It resembled a brownish petroleum jelly, and I had to scrub it out with a toxic degreaser, which I did for about 25 minutes before just throwing it away. A few weeks later I bought a brand-new machine altogether, and he drink out of it for about three days and then gave it up. So to answer your question, no I don't. As I said, mine loved it. But if you do get one, just please take into account what I said and even though the pump may not look dirty, regularly clean it out and look inside of the vents of the pump to see is anything has "grown" within it. I felt so horrible for making him drink out of what probably tasted like used toilet water, that I babied him for weeks; that is, after paying $300 to the vet to get him healthy again. Be careful. |

One note: If the pump is not working and the adapter part is ok, trying running a strong vinegar solution through the fountain for several hours first. Often all that is wrong is mineral build up. |

| Answer: | It is normal and very simple to fix. The issue is not lack of water, but debris getting stuck to the pump rotor, causing a vibration. Remove the pump. Remove the slotted cover from the front of the pump. Remove the circular cover which sits directly behind the slotted cover. At this point you will see the yellow rotor. Remove the rotor by pulling it out. It's held in place by magnets. Clean the rotor and reinstall. Problem solved. |

Here'e there answer:Hi Sean, We produce Catit Foam/Carbon Filters (#55601) and the newer Catit Water Softening Filters (#55602), both of which are suitable to use with a Catit Senses fountain. The Foam/Carbon Filter removes debris from the water and absorbs impurities in the water. The Catit Water Softening Filters does this too, but in addition also removes magnesium and calcium from the water to reduce the risk of lower urinary tract diseases. The Water Softening filters also require less frequent changes than the Foam/Carbon filters. We hope this helps!So, yes they do, but the Senses filters last longer and filter more. |

| Answer: | I think it's very easy to clean. I have just one cat. It recommends changing the filter every three weeks , but I clean the container monthly(it kind of gets a slimy feel on the plastic when it's time to clean. You can remove the filter and simply rinse off and debris and then just put it back in and start with clean water and you are ready to go. I have used the same filter for a couple of months, changing the water and rinsing the filter as needed. |

| Answer: | I have never put any parts of the Cat IT in the dishwasher, so I don't know. But since there is no indication either on the parts themselves or on the box, that they are dishwasher safe, I would be extremely hesitant to put them in the dishwasher. I wash mine by hand using dish washing liquid and hot water. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | I don't know if this uses the same filters as the other, the filter for the Catit is long and segmented to fit the crescent curve space in the fountain. I just suggest looking-check the ones you already have against a picture of the ones for the Catit and see if they are similar :) |

| Answer: | The bowl isn't attached. If you look at the pictures, you can see the bowl has been placed in different positions. I just took mine off, since my cats would drop nuggets into the bowl and leave them there. |
