Answer:	Hi Donna - There is four and one half inches from the floor to the bottom of the flap. We were worried about that, too, since we have two Chihuahuas along with an Italian Greyhound mix and now our new rescue, Belgian Malinois (will be very big). There was NO problem at all! We put the door in and they all went through it! It's a great door. We are very happy!
Question:	Can it be easily and quickly removed
Answer:	Although the intent is to screw it in with 3 or 4 screws and use the lock provided, we have not done that. We use a bar in the sliding door track to "lock" the door if we want to leave the pet door in place over night. It is easy to remove it since the spring loaded top segment holds it securely in, but can be lifted out easily if we want to be gone for a few days.

Answer:	The door panel fits on both the inside and the outside. If you put it on the inside of the house, then it can NOT be removed because it clicks into place and to remove it you have to take your thumb and fore-finger and squeeze the latch release in order to release the latch lock and to raise the door. Ideally for super weather protection I am going to buy another door for the outside so for SEVERE WEATHER AND SUPER HIGH TORNADO WINDS - I can have a door on both sides - the outside and the inside - even if the outside can be removed. (I live in Tornado Alley) P.S. Even in 30 mph winds so far - neither of the door flaps have come open and or leaked. While it may be possible to cut the tunnel to fit, we'd be unable to recommend this as it has not been tested and could affect the way the door works.

Answer:	I have a 6lb and 10lb dogs. I think the larger size makes it easier to get in and out without being squeezed. My little dog like to stand 1/2 in 1/2 out and the bigger size makes it more comfortable. Also, if you ever get another larger dog you won't need a new door.

Answer:	No, what comes in the box is one panel in two pieces. The two pieces are easily assembled into one tall panel that fits between your sliding door and the wall. Which means your sliding door is not replaced, but rather open just enough for the panel to fit in place. You then "lock" the panel in place with thumb screws and secure your slider with either the included lock or a board of some sort (your choice).The picture shown is the top half of the panel (left) and the bottom half of the panel (right).

One thing to note: Even though my cats are used to various cat doors, this plastic flap was a new experience for them and it took a week to get them used to using it without thinking. We taped it open and then slowly lowered it each day. Cats treats on the other side helped, too!

Answer:	Yes! I found an easy way. Buy a Switchbot (on Amazon for about $30). And buy a Switchbot Hub Plus (on Amazon for about $60). The switchbot is basically a little robot box, whose sole function is to press a button. Position it over the Mode button on the Dog Door (the switchbot already has an adhesive sticker that works perfectly). On the switchbot app, change the push duration (amount of time the switchbot holds the Mode button before releasing) to 3 seconds. That’s how long it takes to cycle the dog door from one mode to the next (lock, unlock,automatic). You can now control the Switchbot (and your dog door) with your phone if you are within Bluetooth range of it. Now, set up the Switchbot Hub Plus. Now you can control the switchbot on your phone (on the Switchbot app) no matter where you are (because now it’s linked to WiFi instead of Bluetooth). There you go! Took me awhile to figure this out, but I was tired of paying someone to come to my house every day while I’m at work to let the dogs out. (I don’t like them sitting in the backyard barking all morning, waking my neighbors up). So I unlock the dog door from my phone at lunch time and my dogs then have access to the backyard until I get home. Although I could theoretically lock it again later if I watch them on my security camera to see that they are both inside. I don’t even need to use the Smart Collar things that come with the dog door.

Answer:	You should not bump to anything by Pet Safe don't buy one of these you will be sorely disappointed. Take it from someone who knows. The flaps fly open in the wind the safety door will not stay on and it doesn't take a very big dog to push it off. The one I had, (before I broke it into little bits with a hammer,) the safety door would just blow off in the wind. Look elsewhere NOT a Pet Safe door because their non customer service acts real nice at first, don't let em fool you... they won't help.

Answer:	Yes there is a magnetic catch on the frame, and it also has a slide in panel that locks. It is awesome! Just be sure youget the right size for your pet, we have a 22lb cat and had to get a medium door for him to actually fit through. They seemto run a bit small on the inside dimensions, so be sure and measure your pet!

If the cat door is too thick for the door, please use scissors or cutting machine to cut along the line in the width of the frame.

1. Draw outline on the paper board

Draw the cat door frame on a paper board and cut it down.

Note:

You had better prepare these necessary tools first, pencil, ruller, electric saw, drill, screwdriver, double-side tape.

2. Draw outline on the door

Use a pencil draw around the edge of the cut paper on the door you want to be fixed to.

Note:

Generally, average installation height is around 10-15 cm from the floor.

3. Drill 4 corners for holes

Drill 4 corners for thorough holes first with an electric drill.

4. Cut out a tunnel hole

Cut out the tunnel hole with an electric saw starting at holes drilled.

5. Put the cat door in the door

After the tunnel hole is cut out, it's better to wrap around it with a layer of wood skin. And if your hole is cutting a little big, it's quite neccessary.

6. Cut down tunnel depth if necessary

If the cat door is too thick for your door, use a scissors or cutting machine to cut down some part of tunnel along the line A or B. The cutting scale is about 2-4CM.

7. Mount to the door

Mount the cat door with double-side tape to the door. 8 screws have been provided for your use, tighten them with a screwdriver on both sides.

8 screws for 4 holes on both sides, screw them all in 2 sides as illustration shown above, please. These 8 screws are designed to work together, they are not short.

8. Done

Place screw caps over the screw holes, press them on. The installation is completely done.
