Answer:	The rope will eventually need to be replaced so glue may not be so good. We usually tape the end of the rope with masking tape to prevent it from fraying then use a cable staple (u-shaped nail) to hold it in place on the post.

Answer:	Yes it is scratchy. However in the ottoman I made, I cushioned the seat, so the rope was only wrapped around the circumference of the tire. So in the arrangement I used it is not bothersome. I reckon some varnish would help to keep down the stray fibers that make it scratchy.

Answer:	Use hot glue gun and a heavy duty staple gun.

Answer:	Start at the bottom, use hot glue and staples from a heavy duty staple gun. Slowly wrap the rope towards the top using glue and staples. I used two 4 X 4 pieces of post and 66 feet of rope is not enough to finish the job. My posts are about 15 inches tall. With rope costing about $24 I think it's cheaper to just buy a new scratching post. I bought one that Amazon had for $26 that had two scratching posts and two places that the cat could use as a perch or bed. It's more of a job putting new rope on and costs about as much as buying a new scratching post.

Answer:	This is very durable. Make sure everything is screwed in tight. Very easy to assemble. I have stood on it sat on it and climbed to the top and I weight 130lbs my cat is 12lbs and he jumps all over it

Answer:	My kitten uses the bottom ladder the most out of all the ladders, but only if he is going to sleep in the bottom box. My two cats, as well as my kitten mostly just jump from level to level. They sometimes use the top ladder to go up or down, but then they mostly just jump down to the floor. It does not effect the use of the tree though, they love it!

Answer:	The base measures 24" x 28", the widest area of the tree measures 24" x 34.5", since the bottom hideaway house sticks out over the base. The ramp to the bottom house adds 10" depending on what side of the house you place the ramp, as there are two entries. So I say it is possible that the tree can occupy maximum of 45" of space on one side, but only 24" on the other.

Answer:	We have 8 cats - the smallest is 8 pounds, & two are 20 pounds. We’re getting ready to buy another of these trees because after about two and a half years it’s about worn out. It has survived constant gymnastics by all the kitties and has never tipped nor broken. The kitties love to scratch the posts, and eventually the sisal comes off, then they start scratching the cardboard tubes which ultimately give out. So basically, just much active use has lead to normal wear & tear. It is very well made which is why we’re getting the exact same thing again. Highly recommend this tree!

Answer:	It's 16" x 7" and works great for my two adult 10 pound cats. They've never tipped it over, maybe because it's on a hardwood floor and it came with non-skid rubber on the edges. I specifically chose this small, lightweight style because it's unobtrusive sitting next to the sofa. Ever since I put it there, they've been scratching on it instead of their favorite spot on the upholstery right next to it. I also bought a similar one covered in carpet, but they ignore it in favor of this one with rough sisal. I also like that this scratcher isn't messy like cardboard scratchers, and it doesn't need to be replaced constantly.

Answer:	Not sure what this is because I never ordered cat litter but as far as I know, all cats need some kind of cat litter. This is something from long ago. Even outside they go and cover up. I clean my litter of six cats daily and sometimes more so. Its best to have a clean litter box so the cats will always go in it. They will go elsewhere if its not cleaned.

Answer:	No. It will help shed the old nail but under that is a fresh new sharp claw. Only clipping will trim the nails shorter.

Answer:	Mine is wrapped around the upright post of my big treadmill, which is a flattened shape about 4-5”w x 1” thick, so about 10-11” total. The Velcro strapping has plenty of overlap left, so could go on a larger piece. Probably 3-4” more, maybe 5”& still have enough to fasten Velcro securely. It has 3 places that Velcro needs to be secured around post or other object. I retighten once in a while but is holding up to serious use from two cats using it regularly. Just went & measured, to be sure-it’s ctually 11-1/2” around the post, and has 3-1/2” of Velcro left & attached to the other side of Velcro. Hope this helps.

My cats actually liked the other side of the product which looks more like couch fabric, but I couldn’t make it work on the left side with that material facing out. So, I used it on the other side (right) with the sisal facing inside.
