Answer:	Pad/carpet area is 12x5 inches. Hangs down from door knob about 4.5 inches. The door knob strap is sturdily connected to the pad/carpet and supports the weight of my 17 pound cat. Other scratchers had a rope and grommet which stretched and pulled apart under the weight of my cat.

First of all could you please read carefully below key points and ensure you have done all of them correctly? If it still won't work, I will send a new replacement, no worries. 1. When charging, the motor glows red light; When fully charged, the light goes out. In the instruction sheet in the package, it mentions about the green light, please ignore it. We upgraded the motor only recently and haven’t got a chance to modify the instruction sheets; 2. It takes only about 90 mins to get the motor fully charged from "no battery power'. After the red light goes out, it indicates “fully charged”; 3. After fully charging the motor, be sure to flip the switch on and then tap the fish belly to get the fish moving just like cats would do with their paws. If you have tried all the things mentioned above, the fish still won't move or hold a charge, please reply to me and i will send you a new replacement. Don't worry. I've now come back and purchased three packets of these mice, and I still have to fish them out from under and behind every piece of furniture we own.
