Question:	This vs. The triangular Shaped house/Tent looking house? Which provides more heat during the winter days and nights
Answer:	The Heated K&H Outdoor Kitty House would be the more sturdy of the two and provide sufficient heat. It has an excellent thick heating pad you put inside which is very cushionyyy. I took off the plastic on both sides since the movement of the plastic seemed to scare the feral cats away. Heating pad is warm for them and works with the heat of their own bodies. Keep this out of the rain and wind. Garage would be perfect if for a feral cat, otherwise place it where it wont get wet and battered by wind and where dogs cant get to the cats. I bought this for our feral cat we have had since a kitten when her mother put her up on our wall and left her there. We took her in and kept her in our garage and she has always remained very warm, and that was 2 years ago. She roams the neighborhood but always comes back at night for food and her house.
Question:	Why can't you use this with a commercial extension cord? This would almost be a must for most cases (no one usually has a plug near by
Answer:	I have two of these houses plus a home made one in the front of my house under my eaves...Unfortunately, I don't have an outdoor plug nearby so I bought a heavy duty outdoor extension plug with a three plug coupler and plugged the three in, ran the extension cord under the eaves of my house up off the ground and into my garage...plug connections are covered to avoid getting wet and this is the third year I've used them without incident

Answer:	This is very late, I realize since the question was asked 4 years + ago, but I just have to add - if you have senior cats and it gets cold where you live? Please bring them inside. *Before anyone yells at me, I do know that some kitties refuse to come in a house. I have cared for feral cats and cats that are fully socialized with humans & I know they each have a unique personality complete with "quirks" - in which case this house could be awesome! We always just have a box with a towel and sometimes a heating pad with a timer for the ones who won't come in. But if at all possible,bring those kitties in :)

Answer:	I have 3 k&h heated cat houses of which I’ve run for almost 6 mos a year, for 3 yrs now. I am an electrician. As long as it is plugged in it is using power. The power these use are so minimal, they’re not much different than running 4-5 LED lights. No extra money at all. I am retired, now. I’d be screaming at the cats, “quit going in & out those doors, you little punks.”

Question:	how does this house stand up to wind,rain,snow? any suggestions what to do
Answer:	Whenever you have an oil based marker, you'll have to use something stronger than soap and water. Think nail polish remover or mineral spirits. It's just like using enamel paint in a can. If you hurry while it's wet, the soap and water may work somewhat, but oil based paint needs a solvent to remove it under normal circumstances.

Answer:	yes you can but you have to do it in phases and don't spray directly on or too close. also I do a brush on mod podge to all my rocks before I spray ant type of clear coat. I hope this helps. honestly I thought I ordered the posca but that's not what came. I still want the posca markers though

Answer:	The colors depicted in the pictures are 100% accurate. Please note that the burl and travertine models just recently added to this line, therefore there are not many reviews of these models.

Answer:	Unfortunately, mine never worked. The sellers were more than helpful by refunding my money being as though it was out of stock and could not be exchanged. It's a really nice quality clock. Looks like authentic stone. I believe it could withstand the heat but not in direct sunlight. Hot dry air is one thing, but that AZ sun is something else. I hope this was helpful.

Question:	Does the wall/roof insulate the heat well
Answer:	The shelter has a flexible inner insulating layer, between 1/4 and 1/2 inch thick, covered with fabric. The only openings are the door, which comes with a removable plastic cover the cat can push in/out for access, and a small hole in the rear for the warming pad electrical cord to exit. The rear half of the pad has a water-proof warmer; the front half doesn't. The pad produces mild warmth when powered, but nothing like a home heating pad. So I feel comfortable that it protects the outdoor cat that adopted us against wind, blowing rain, and mild winter temperatures. We live in Texas, and our shelter is on a bench on a covered porch. So our winters are mild and the location is somewhat sheltered. If I lived in the northern US with long, frigid winters, or the shelter were more exposed to the elements, I'd definitely want something with more protection and a warmer heat source.
Question:	How long is the cord
Answer:	The cord on the heating pad extends approximately 69 inches from the heating pad. Another couple of inches is probably lost in getting it out of the cat shelter which would give it an effective length of about five and a half feet (5' 6")
Question:	Does the heating pad work 24/7 or only when the weight is detected
Answer:	According to the manufactures website, it is 24/7. It takes about an hour to 2 to heat up to 102 deg and stays there. There is a heated side and a non-heated side.
Question:	Is this house water proof
Answer:	I would not consider this shelter as being waterproof. I believe the fabric itself may shed water but the zipper would probably admit water. I'm quite sure the bottom would admit standing water along the zippered seams. We used this shelter in a semi-protected space (small porch) and enclosed all but the opening with a black plastic bag. Not esthetic but effective. We have found homes for three of the lovely kittens born in it 55 days ago and Mom is scheduled to be spayed on July 1st.

Answer:	You can put it in any shape. The steaks that hold in place on the ground do not work well. I use different type ,that are much more sturdy.
Question:	Can I attach another tent to the other end of the tunnel
Answer:	It comes with 2 velcro ties (one on each end) to secure it. Without the velcro ties, it would "spring" open about 3-4 feet. I am very happy with the toughness of the tunnel. It does need to be secured in the wind and it has several grommets on the bottom to accomplish this!
Question:	Does this connect to tent
Answer:	We would like to help you but don't understand the question exactly. This tunnel is two feet diameter and 18 feet long. From the AKC regulations "the open tunnel must consist of a durable material around a flexible tube between 10 and 20 feet long that may form into curves. The round openings at each end must have a width and height of 2 feet, plus or minus 2 inches." however the PITCH (distance between metal wires) on this tunnel does not meet competition standard, therefore it is meant for home PRACTICE only. The tunnels with 4" pitch are hundreds of dollars. We are working to find a manufacturer to make these and bring the cost down. Hope that helps.
Question:	How long is the tunnel
Answer:	That depends on how engaged you wish to be in the puppy’s play. Plastic kiddie pools are fun and let the pup cool off on hot days, some dogs will play with a jolly ball or disk toy on their own but will generally want a person to play too. The best exercise for an energetic pup is formal obedience training.

Answer:	I don’t think so-it has two levels but I think only a cat would use the upper level. They could both go in but it would be very snug. If they’re 10 pounds maybe but not 15. And they would need to be sleeping partners.
Question:	Will this house provide protection from predators? We have coyotes in the area
Answer:	This is exactly what we bought this house for. We live in the high desert area of New Mexico and get coyotes in our area frequently. This house is well built and I don't think a coyote could get in it. They have sniffed at the house but then walk away.

Answer:	Probably snugly, but i am putting an outdoor K&H heater in the top floor, since this visitor kitty likes to be up high and safe from predators or neighbor bully cats, and leaving the bottom floor insulated but without the heater gives him a place to go safely and dry if he gets too warm up top. I honestly think two could cram in the bottom layer, but because the top has the access opening hole, i think one cat would fit upstairs more comfortably. If I were redesigning this house, i would definitely make it a bit larger in floor space, more rectangular than square. Can't be too big though, or it won't hold heat with those two big entrance doors. Its basically two floors a bit smaller than 20"x20", and hard to fit most bedding without overlap. I'm putting a square self-warming sherpa pad on the bottom floor. Cannot use self-warming mat on top floor since it has metallicized fabric, and I'm putting the heater up there that has it's own special sherpa cover.

Answer:	I use this in my craft room where me and kitty spend a lot of time. It is about 10 x 14 room, so 140 square feet.
Question:	How big are the openings in the mesh
Answer:	This was the ONLY diffuser brand that actually worked for my 5 cats! It reduced stress so much. It was worth the purchase every time for the 2 pack refills. I’ve emailed this seller twice in the past 2 months and they keep saying they will get them but they never have. I went ahead and bought it 2 more times anyway but now I have 4 diffuser plugins and only need 2 for my cat area. It’s just way to expensive to keep buying this way when I only need the refill bottles. It’s too bad no one can clone this product.
Question:	Can i use this for green iguanas
Answer:	I'm going to say no for a couple reasons:1) Its field of vision is very small and unpredictable. At best (maybe when the lighting is best?), ours only detects motion up to around 18" away; most of the time it's less reliable, and frequently doesn't detect motion 6" away from the sensor. I wouldn't rely on this sensor for anything important.2) The exterior of the top does not appear to be weather-proofed. I could imagine water entry breaking it easily.We have a cat-jumping-over-gates problem and solved it with string. Our cat can jump up and land on top of a sturdy gate, even though it's narrow; but if we tie a mostly taut string across the space about 2" above the top of the gate, the cat is afraid to try the jump. The string (floss, actually) is too narrow for it to land and balance on comfortably, and too close to the gate for the cat to ignore, so it gives up.
Question:	What material is used in construction ? (waterproof wood??) What material is the mesh made of (wire or cloth??) How long to put together
Answer:	It does have an on/off switch. But they don't matter, even with no batteries in it, it will keep on spraying at full blast and burn through an entire refill in minutes. That's my experience.

Answer:	i used a drill. the screws are a little to small I think. are you sure you have the pieces together the right way. i put it together and then had to take it apart because I had it backwards. make sure the slant of the sides are going towards the back. i might take 2 people to hold it together. if you have a home depot or lowes go and get bigger screws. i was going to do that, but got it together. hope this helps.
