Answer:	For hygiene and health sake, put only a day's ration in the cup each day. For a canary that would be either 1 teaspoonful as a main dish, or ½ teaspoonful if it's a "treat". This way, the bird doesn't become obese (a common problem with pet birds) and it stays clean. I use Dr. Harrison's pellets for my birds' main dish and assorted other seeds or fresh vegetables as a side-dish rotating the types each day. Unfortunately, my birds won't eat this particular "fruit-blend" product, but that's their fault. Consult your local Avian Veterinarian for more suggestions.

Answer:	It's really according to the size of the birds and how often you want to clean it out. Parakeets you could probably fit 6 comfortably if you cleaned it out once a week. I have parrolets and they are smaller but I only keep 2 in mine but if they didn't fight there would be room for 8 or more.

Answer:	It's not so much the color as the size. Apparently the 36" black does not come with a stand. It does appear that the other sizes no matter whether color, black or white, do.

Answer:	I purchased this cage for my two parakeets, and they love it. My other pet is a DSH named Willow, who loves to try to figure out ways in which to get at the birds. Well, Don, she can't do it. The cage (on the stand) sits fairly high up and the best that Willow can do is stretch and try to reach the birds when they are at the bottom of the cage. Her paws, however, do not fit between the bars which I'm guessing are about 1/4" apart. Even if you cats were able to sit on a high perch, or even get to the top of the cage, they won't be able to get at your finches. Answer:	It is to give it appeal to the birds. I called regarding the fact that my finches would only eat certain colors, and was told that all the colors are the same taste (food) but that certain colors attract some birds, and others prefer another color. Hope this answers your question. They did assure me the coloring was perfectly safe.

Answer:	I believe so. Maybe best to ask the source. I have had all kinds of doves, including diamond doves but don't have them now. I have used the Dr. Harvey's for finches and canaries, ringneck doves, pigeons and chickens. I think it would be great for diamond doves and quail.
