Lixit water bottles operate with a vacuum valve. Small drips when you install the bottle are normal as your water bottle forms a new Vacuum seal. In order for a vacuum to form within the sealed water bottle, the air space and water volume need to equalize. This little release of water is the after effect of this equalization as the pressure stabilizes, and is perfectly normal. Question:	My guinea pig hasn’t figured out how to drink from it. Any suggestions? I left the other water bottle in at first, but I am scared he will dehydrate
Answer:	It doesn’t drip on its own. But the way the water is released by your pet requires it to drip. I recommend a small bowl underneath it. My noodle rats love the water bottle, but a lot of the water drips down as they’re drinking from it. There’s a piece in the nozzle that when pushed releases the water in the container. It doesn’t leak on its own, but when manipulated by little pet’s mouths it drips water.

Answer:	I have mine mounted on the outside of the a hutch. Do yes, but if you have a wood hutch with one wire door the bottle is to big. It makes it difficult to open and close the door when mounted outside.

Answer:	I'm not sure of the exact measurement, but it is the same size as most standard guinea pig water bottle nozzles. So if bunnies have the same water bottles, it should be fine. This is the best water bottle for my guineas that I have ever found!

Answer:	Go to Home Depot. It’s just a small gauge solid wire that you can bend into shape. Take the piece with you and show them to help you find it.

Answer:	No, that is not normal. The water tube should be able to dispense water without help. However, this one dispenses too much water! We have not been able to use it as the ball will not seal the spout and it has flooded our poor chinchilla's cage twice. We have had many water feeders for many different types of pets, so we know how to use it :)

Answer:	Yes, it’s attached to a ball-bearing system. So if the hamster is running and creates momentum on the wheel then it will continue to spin and eventually stop. The wheel has some weight to it, so that in conjunction with the momentum the hamster created will make it rock if the hamster stops on the wheel.
