Question:	Is this a Garelick Roof Rake
Answer:	the whole shovel is steel, however, I think the end of the blade needs to be re-enforced a bit since the edges will curl up a bit if you use the side to crack ice. Overall, it's does a good job clearing snow and ice. I break plastic shovels so this is the next best thing.

Answer:	For me it pushes well as long as there is light snow falls. As snow fall gets larger you have to go over the area several times to clean. I wanted this shovel to push and really get the sidewalk clean which it does very well. It was heavier than I expected but I really like it.
Question:	Can you by replacement wheels/ rollers
Answer:	By looking at the specifications on the Amazon site, I would guess that Yukon-24 at 8 lb is made out of heavier gauge steel than the 6.4 lb Nordic-24. The heavier shovel will make it easier to push but will be more difficult to lift if you have to throw the snow over a mound after pushing it. I use a Garant YSP24DU and find it well built and am satisfied. It was a bit of a challenge after the last snow (12 inches) since there was already a lot of snow on the sides of the driveway and I had to lift this wet snow over the existing mounds. Incidentally, Garant web site was no use because it does not give any specs. Hope this helps.

Question:	Will this work on a two story house
Answer:	It’s a pretty simple gizmo. What you so here is what you get. If you have enough snow to need to use this I think the solar panels should be fine. I used it after a foot of snow accumulated and it worked slick. Even after using it there remained a slight layer of snow as it didn’t scrape it clean but It is metal and has a bit of weight and I don’t know how much the two end pieces would effect your panels as they did at times make direct contact with the roof even with a foot of snow.
Question:	Some say yes to working on a 2 story house. Others say no. How can that be
Answer:	I do have heat cables as well. I would get the rake just above the cables and push upwards to let the snow slide down. That is the way it works. Do not drag it down over the cables or you will catch them and pulled them off. It worked really well last winter. Warning. If you are up on a ladder doing this move your body away when the chunk of snow comes towards you. I haf a buddy help me to hold my ladder as it was a bit heavy to push up and move out of the way when the snow came down the rake.
Question:	Is it easy to modify this to ~30' to reach a 2 story roof? I've read you need ~30' for 2 story and don't see any extensions for this model on sale
Answer:	When any pole gets out to 30 feet it tends to bow so you leave the weight on the roof and slide it over and then push it back up the roof straight.

Answer:	I don't sell them so I don't know if you can buy it any other way. The wheels can pop out in heavy jobs. I found them and popped them back in. I think the rake works well and has paid for itself with all the snow we have been getting.

Answer:	I do not have solar panels on my roof, and my thought would to let the snow melt by it self, but if I were going to use a snow rake, it would be this one. I found an article on the web that referenced this snow rake for snow removal on solar panels. http://news.cnet.com/8301-11128_3-10156471-54.html If you were to use it you would have to be very, very careful to be sure that the bottom of the blade was lowered so the sharp corners of the rake do not touch the panels. Also, if you received heavy resistance when pulling the rake down, I would stop and lift it off rather than putting extra possible pressure on the panels. Good luck.

Answer:	Elisabeth I purchased this rake some time ago... I would not personally use it on any material softer than a roof... It is made of aluminum with a strong edge. You should be able to modify the rake by putting a some type of plastic type adhesive tape along the edge to protect the cloth material.

Question:	How do the vinyl slides hold up? ...and are the slide replacements readily available
Answer:	17 Inches... you don't want it to wide because this is pretty much to move heavy wet snow. For that it works well. It is not built for chipping or scrapping because they want to keep it light weight for lifting heavy snow. Some people have said they think it is cheaply built in the reviews and I think it was more about keeping the weight down.
Question:	Will this work on solar panels without damaging them
Answer:	There is a metal strip across the bottom that is folded over both sides of the shovel. It clings pretty tightly on cement, but slides easily on asphalt. I love the second handle because I don't have to bend over to pick it up as I have had three back surgeries. The one thing I dislike about it is that second doesn't rotate on the shaft of the main shovel so pitching the snow off isn't as easy as my previous shovel that I wore out. (Can't find one like it or I would have gotten that instead of SnoJo.
Question:	I have de-icer cables installed on my roof - will this work well with those cables or will it catch the cables and yank them off or loosen them

On Poly covered roof, you should use it with extreme care by making sure the SnowPeeler is always parallel to the roof. If there's at least 1'' of hard pack snow on the roof, you could consider remove take the pads in order to the cutter head to slide on the pack snow. Extreme care is the key here !

Answer:	I would not use it on solar panels. You would be pulling metal across the surface of the panels. I have a solar array that I only use a broom to remove the snow. Otherwise I love the rake. The handle was too short for my roof so I modified the handle from my other rake to increase the length.

Answer:	Too short to reach. Need to figure out how to add extra handle, then must be careful not to bend it getting it up to the roof.

Question:	Is it suitable for short people about 5 ft tall?and can this be used on poly covered greenhouses? Does it have wheels
Answer:	I do not have solar panels on my roof, and my thought would to let the snow melt by it self, but if I were going to use a snow rake, it would be this one. I found an article on the web that referenced this snow rake for snow removal on solar panels. http://news.cnet.com/8301-11128_3-10156471-54.html If you were to use it you would have to be very, very careful to be sure that the bottom of the blade was lowered so the sharp corners of the rake do not touch the panels. Also, if you received heavy resistance when pulling the rake down, I would stop and lift it off rather than putting extra possible pressure on the panels. Good luck.
Question:	how long will it take to arrive? I need the rake next week
Answer:	Elisabeth I purchased this rake some time ago... I would not personally use it on any material softer than a roof... It is made of aluminum with a strong edge. You should be able to modify the rake by putting a some type of plastic type adhesive tape along the edge to protect the cloth material.
