Answer: No it doesn't. It has a female socket on the center of the flywheel for the chuck to fit in. It is a great blower as it is easy to start. There is a mechanism built into it which relieves the force required to pull the starter rope. I bought it originally thinking about getting a separate drill chuck or battery starter for it. But after I saw how easy it was to crank and the reduced pull force required on the rope, I didn't need an external starter.

So, if your Snapper Mower is an XD mower, you can use the same battery for your XD blower. I might add, however, that I have both and I am very disappointed that the battery only lasts about 13 minutes before discharging. I have been told by Snapper and Briggs and Stratton that this is normal, not the up to 40 minutes that they advertise. So, I would not recommend either of these tools to anyone.
