Answer:	I just used the last of a jug I bought early winter last year and it was not clumped at all. I stored it in my laundry room. Perhaps some moisture got to it? I haven't had any issues.

My order was fulfilled by Amazon in January 2016 but the seller was probably different. Answer:	This is product is Magnesium Chloride which is more gentle than other melting products on most surfaces. However, it is not ideal to put any melting material on your shingles or gutters. If you have an ice dam, you can put the product in a nylon stocking and lay that on the roof to create a drainage channel.

Question:	Is this product enviormentally safe
Answer:	Yes. It comes with both; however, I bought an extra battery just to make sure I have enough power for big jobs in Colorado.

Answer:	No it is not self propelled.
Question:	Is it safe for asphalt
Answer:	we have used it for over 30 minutes and it stilo has plenty of power.
Question:	How safe is this for bluestone, or finished walkways/patios? Will it discolor the stone
Answer:	Yes..I push ...just like a Regular shovel scooping snow. I’m a 60 year old, full time care giver and shoveling snow her in SD is no easy task.. great little shovel..if found it was very easy assembly
Question:	is it safe for cement driveway
Answer:	I have both. The 13 is superior. It has a much larger diameter auger than this one. This one is belt driven and fairly high RPM, but extremely small diameter auger. The scraper blade on this one is SUPER sharp to the point that it catches on wood by digging into it. At least compared to the 13 which glides over pallets and other wooden surfaces. The 13 has a gearbox driven brushed motor instead of belt. The 13 is louder because of it, but the torque provided by the gear reduction along with the larger auger makes it the better machine. It's a little heaver, and the 11 has a nicer handle with less sharp edges. Most people will use gloves with these though so that isn't a big deal. I buy these shovels for the batteries when they are on sale, so I have quite a few of them. The 13 is my pick for sure. The 11 spins super fast but halts almost instantly when put against crusty or heavy snow. The 13 is much harder to stall. The main difference Snow Joe wants you to be aware of is simply that the 13SS clears a 13" path, while the 11SS-XR clears an 11" path. The XR simply means that it has Snow Joe's largest 24v LTE battery at 5.0AH. Why? I have absolutely no idea. I only use 2.0 AH batteries on my shovels and the larger batteries for my sunjoe chainsaw, mower, and snowjoe 18" snow blower.
Question:	Does this contain salt
Answer:	I would not use it on loose gravel as it will more than likely cause the blade to bind up. You will also be throwing gravel 20ft. in front of you.
Question:	What color is this type safe step? White or clear or what
Answer:	The auger blades are made of ABS plastic but they never touch the surface under the shovel. There is an ABS plastic scraper under the unit that scrapes the snow up and forces it into the auger blade. It's exactly the same thing as using a regular plastic snow shovel. So if your deck handles a normal shovel this won't damage it either.
Question:	I'm having difficult opening the container. Any tips or tools to recommend
Answer:	Warning ! I have a corded snow shovel . If you use this over rock , gravel . Be ready to replace some Windows !!! It hurls small rocks like a shotgun . I found out the hard way !
