Answer: Just arrived. Includes pump, two hoses and directional inlet. NO outlet fittings and NO plunger valves. In addition, for anyone making a "hillbilly pool" with a stock tank, this cannot pull water over the top. The best I can see, holes will need to be cut in the side so water can flow down into the pump.

Answer: Yes, the lid can be hard to get off of the pump. What I use to make it easier is "O-Ring Lube", available at pool supply stores. Apply a thin coating to all mating surfaces and the O-ring seal. One other item I use is a strainer basket in the pool surface strainer, it catches most the leaves, so cleaning the basket on the pump doesn't have to be that often. Hope it helps you.

Answer: I don’t think you can. It’s a factory warranty and if you install it I have read that the factory warranty isn’t honored when I read other customers responses. If it’s installed by a pool company it’s honored.

The WAPC250 is an automatic on/off water removal pool cover pump. Max. Flow rate is 3000 gallons per hour using 1-1/4" drain hose. Includes: check-valve with 3/4" garden hose adapter to reduce repetitive cycling, 25 foot power cord (always plug into a gfci outlet), 25 foot "pull to shore" rope included to help position the pump on the pool cover. When temperatures drop below freezing remove pump from service and store indoors to protect pump from damage due to ice. The pump has a unique protection circuit to protect the motor from a locked impeller condition possibly caused by debris buildup or from a frozen impeller situation caused by ice formation. When the pump is activated and a locked impeller condition is detected the unit will automatically shutdown to protect the motor from overheating. The pump will continue this on or off cycle for a period of time to attempt to free the impeller until eventually the unit will remain off for a period of 12 hours checking twice a day for a freed impeller. Once the pump is able to operate correctly the pump will resume normal operation. To reset this delay without waiting 12 hours momentarily unplug the pump

Answer: Until two days ago my pump wasn't only completely underwater but it was completely under a foot of hard frozen snow and ice. Answer: Hi I no longer have my pool but can tell you that this pump was very strong with water output. It was powerful enough on low speed with my salt water pool . Only really needed high to clean pool . The savings on your electric bill makes this a great pump as well. Hope this helps you as I would highly recommend this pump

Answer: It took me two hours to sand down the inside of the pot to fit my original lid. For the price it should have included a new "Matched" lid.

Answer: Yes you will need a filter. There are several options. I personally use a sand filter. If you don't already have them, you will also need to purchase three 1 1/2" hoses. pool to pump - pump to filter - filter back to pool. Make sure you order hoses that are long enough to cover the distances. As for debris, there is a basket on the front of the pump which will keep larger items out - it is easy to clean. The sand filter will trap smaller particles before returning the clean water to the pool.
