Question:	On an 18 by 38 net, what is the inside dimension of the grommets
Answer:	Yes!! That's what I do. I actually use two. The first one lays across the pool, touched the water. The second I get a size smaller and run a wire from end to end, my pool is forty foot long. I stretch it from front to back and side to side using stakes in the ground around the pool. While the leaves are falling many just blow across as the top net is not touching the water. After all the leaves have falling, usually end of nov I will then mulch up all the leaves in my yard, and then take the top cover off and scoop up and leaves that got under the top cover. I leave my pool open during the winter. I have done this for the last several years and it works great. No need to daily scooping leaves off the cover until they all fall. Works for me. And these covers are pretty good for the price. Small netting too.
Question:	Does it now come with straps to hold water bags
Answer:	The cover probably isn't big enough to cover an empty pool. Suggest getting the liner patched if you're worried about more damage to your walls and floor.

Answer:	I wouldln't use it in an empty pool as it would fill up with water and then be extremely difficult to get back out again. You'd end up with a lot of dirty water and leaves, just what you'd be trying to avoid. The mesh is not permeable enough to just let the water pass through.

Answer:	I have owned above ground pools since 1978. The seller of the first pool I purchased said not to use a pillow. He said it raises the cover out of the pool and expose it to the sun and wears it out. I took his advice and never used a pillow. I am on my second above-ground pool installed 1998. I have had many pool covers over the years and the majority of them wear out within about 3-5 years. I have had many types expensive 20 year warranty and cheaper ones. They all last about the same 3-5 years. I live in Southwest Ohio and have a 28 foot diameter pool. I have had this cover for about 2 years and so far it shows no wear. I purchased a leave cover a few years ago and put the leaf cover the solid cover. I helps hold the solid down during winds. When I get a nice sunny day in the first three months I take the leaf cover off and empty the leaves and sometimes I put it back on to hold it down during the Spring rains. During the winters I siphon the water off by using garden hoses. I have done this procedure for the past 5 years. I would provably purchase this cover again. My neighbor uses a pillow but he has only had a pool for about three years. He tries to secure the pillow but it come loose and floats to one side. I see this year he is not using a pillow. You are welcome to try my way or keep fighting with the pillow. Your choice. Wish you well.

Answer:	The cover was made to drain slowly. You need to get the water on top of the cover above the pool water level and secure it. (I used the clips) It will be drained in a day.

Answer:	It works great catching leaves. Our pool stayed clear all fall/winter, and ours is under a tree also. It tolerated the wind also and did not Frey. Because of the way it tightens, it's would not be fun to do everyday. We had to remove our steps to tighten it properly. But the quality is great.
Question:	Our pool is exactly 18x36 - does the perimeter go beyond 18x36 or do I deed to order 19x
Answer:	Not exactly. The excess hangs over the pool wall, then there is a wire that goes through eyelets along the outer edge of the cover that you pull tight. As far as how much hangs down, mine only had about 2 feet hanging, since some of the excess is taken up by the droop down the inside of the pool (you can't actually pull it tight enough for the cover to be "flat" across the pool surface, it droops down to the water inside).
