Answer:	Drain holes just let the rain, leaves and tree dirt drain right back into your pool! I duck taped mine closed and it works much better. You must drain the top off after rain. Leave some slack in the cover for rain water. I put screen over the siphon hose to stop clogging. Use a ratchet strap with enough rope added to go around the pool and ratchet it tight to keep it from blowing off. Intex should make a cover without the holes too. Overall this is a good cover, Mine lasted 8 years with 2 times of replacing the Alum. Tape over the dumb holes.

Answer:	Every year I drain about 1/3 of the water out of my pool, add chemicals to winterize it and then cover it. I also remove the hoses, pump & filter and store them in my garage over the winter. In the spring when I remove the cover my water is crystal clear. All I have to do is hook the hoses, pump, filter, etc. back up, add water and the appropriate chemicals and we're good to go. I've never had problem even though I live in an area where the winter temp is sometimes below zero and we may get 10"-15" of snow. There's no way I would take my pool down!!! Everyone I know in the area does the same.

Answer:	This is how I use it. During the sunny hours or when I'm in the pool, I take it off. Remember it's like insulation. Take it off in sun and let the solar energy heat the water. Answer:	No. I had a horrible experience. You would be better of with a tarp. There is a rope that runs through the bottom so that you "can" tighten it. But as soon as you start to pull it tight, it rips the plastic, making it useless. Mine is at the bottom of my pool.

Answer:	I had a kidney shaped pool once, it had a stone in it. I have an Intex 18 ft pool. 18 ft in diameter. So you need to figure it out. I wouldn't recommend the Solar Cover as it works well for about 6 months then falls apart. Obviously the Solar Cover has no sunscreen in it.

Answer:	I have owned above ground pools since 1978. The seller of the first pool I purchased said not to use a pillow. He said it raises the cover out of the pool and expose it to the sun and wears it out. I took his advice and never used a pillow. I am on my second above-ground pool installed 1998. I have had many pool covers over the years and the majority of them wear out within about 3-5 years. I have had many types expensive 20 year warranty and cheaper ones. They all last about the same 3-5 years. I live in Southwest Ohio and have a 28 foot diameter pool. I have had this cover for about 2 years and so far it shows no wear. I purchased a leave cover a few years ago and put the leaf cover the solid cover. I helps hold the solid down during winds. When I get a nice sunny day in the first three months I take the leaf cover off and empty the leaves and sometimes I put it back on to hold it down during the Spring rains. During the winters I siphon the water off by using garden hoses. I have done this procedure for the past 5 years. I would provably purchase this cover again. My neighbor uses a pillow but he has only had a pool for about three years. He tries to secure the pillow but it come loose and floats to one side. I see this year he is not using a pillow.
