Question:	Is it normal to see air pockets inside the canister when its in operation
Answer:	I don't see why not. It fits between hoses, whether the vacuuming is manual or automatic makes no difference. To increase efficiency you can line the navigator with a nylon, which will collect even smaller particles. Hope this is helpful.
Question:	Do you need an interconnect adapter for the inline connection of the Hayward W530 Leaf Collector
Answer:	One side is 1 1/2" outside diameter. The other side is 1 1/2" inside diameter. The same way the vac hoses fit together. One fits into the other. That's why the difference in size. Not familiar with the Zodiac you have. I've had the leaf canister for about 4 months. Works great. Mostly oak leaves and tons of bamboo.

Answer:	This unit is 13 inches long tip to tip and it is 7 inches in diameter. It works well for an inline leaf catcher with pool cleaner.

Answer:	Yes, but I found that the silt socks don't hold up so started using the spun hair needs used in food service. You get a bag of100 for less than $10 and just throw away when full, they will catch any kind of hair and just about anything else.

Answer:	Useless product unless you can find a way to adapt it to fit a standard hose. Let me know if you are successful since I wasnt. If you want to buy another one thats an open box never been used, I have one for sale.

Answer:	To my knowledge the manufacturer does not sell a replacement gasket.

Answer:	Easy, grab the handle, see the orange button, to the right there is two markers. Push the orange button down, twist the top counterclockwise towards the two markers on the canister and pull off. Reverse these instructions to re-install the lid.
Question:	What is the diamater of the leaf basket this fits into
Answer:	I have the Kreepy Krawly leaf strainer. I believe it is 8".
Question:	Are instructions included with the replacement latch kit
Answer:	I think if I remember correctly, a small illustration may have been included...I can't remember for sure. Then again, you shouldn't really need any instructions...it should be self-explanatory. Just pay attention when you remove the old latch assembly. One thing I will say...I had to re-use the existing O-ring...the new ring was extremely tight and it was very difficult to get the lid closed without having to force it (and then break the new latch). Just be mindful of that and you should be okay.

Answer:	The O-ring fit my Kreepy Krauly Leaf Canister, but the Canister latch was worthless.

Answer:	Michael, the unit is sealed fairly well and works inline outside of the pool water. Your hose connections to the unit will need to be air tight or you'll pull air in and loose some of your vacuum. I have used the canister both in and out of the water. Great product for the price.

Answer:	R211084 is 1 1/2 inch hose model, where R211086 is the 2 inch hose model.

Answer:	It does come with the extra hose piece and mesh bag, but the connector that comes with it is male on each end...it is sized to fit inside of the extra hose piece. I use this piece to connect the extra hose piece directly to the vacuum hose while I remove the canister and empty the mesh bag so that I don't have to re-establish suction on the vacuum hose.

Answer:	Yes, it comes with a new wiring pigtail if you need to cut off and replace your current wiring pigtail. If you are replacing a KN COSM IB unit, you will not need the wiring pigtail as you will be able to plug the new unit into the existing connector you have installed.

Answer:	Both of my KN-COSM-1B just shut down. It's like a bad battery chirp every 30 seconds meaning the alarms are too old when you replace the battery and it continues to chirp. The date on the back is Nov. 2012 which would be less than 8 years. If the instructions say 10 years, that is incorrect or an improvement from the 2012 model that lasted a little over 7 years.
