Answer:	There are 4 steps. Whether it reaches the top of your pool or not depends on how deep your pool is. Mine is 52” high and the top step is about 3” below the top of the pool. I would recommend putting some of the rubber strips like you use in the bathtub to keep from slipping on the surface of the steps. The vinyl gets very slippery when wet and can easily cause a fall.

Answer:	Not sure of the size of the tubing, but we both this ladder about 2 years ago and it’s the best ladder we’ve ever had. Answer:	Hi. It is advertised as stainless steel, so I hope so it will last a few years. I too have a salt system pool and my previous stainless steel ladder lasted ~8 years. Answer:	This ladder is cheaply made. The steps slide off.

Answer:	We built wooden steps on the outside of the pool with a double-width top step and attached this ladder to the top step. It works great, and it was an easy build. We sunk two 4" x 4" posts next to the outside of the pool and attached the stair stringers to them. We used the pre-made stair stringers that are available from the big box home improvement stores and cut pressure-treated 2" x 12" planks to use as the stair steps.

Answer:	This is the best ladder that I have found. I think it would support in excess of 300 lbs. I does come with PVC flanges for mounting to the deck. I found some on Amazon that are made of steel. PVC tends to break. I also bought a pad that goes under the bottom step so as not to strain the pool liner.

Answer:	Oh Yes! Our female Red Doberman loved the pool and would jump in for her toy and swim to the ladder and climb up, she was the best! We did have a rubber mat after the steps on the deck to give her front paws a grip. Answer:	In the instructions it tells you to put 40 lbs of play sand in the pockets where the arms go. that plus when you put it in the pool the rest of the cavities fill up with water which helps to hold it down. love this pool ladder. This is my second one. The first one lasted many many years.

Question:	Would this work well for the side of a trampoline
Answer:	I'll assume you mean from the outside to get into the hot tub. The newer hot tubs have much larger sides. My hot tub is on a small wood platform and the former two steps I made for my previous hot tub was fine. Now this new high wall hot tub is a challenge for my short wife and were it was positioned had the deep seats by those steps.

Answer:	We cut the ladder and bolted it to our wooden deck. We used it as it was designed as an external ladder at first, then after 3-4 summers we built a deck, cut the ladder, and bolted to the deck. It is a great ladder no matter which way you use it!

Question:	How far into the pool do the steps jut out
Answer:	Not very far at all. More than my old ladder, but much less than the stairs I was looking. My pool is closed up now, but I would quest no more than 2 feet. I'm pretty sure it mentioned it in the description somewhere.
Question:	how much sand
Answer:	If you use sand, go very coarse. I used regular sand and it comes out the vent holes. I get sand in the pool. It also makes it heavy to take out of the pool for the winter
Question:	Can you use water in a frame to hold the steps down
Answer:	They recommend river pebbles and we did that.
Question:	Is it easy to take down for winter
Answer:	I would suggest that it be pulled for the winter. The handrails are anchored to the deck by screws, so it should be nothing more than unscrewing it and pulling it out. Extra weight is required to be added to keep it in the water so don't go over board.
