Answer:	We had a 16' round intex pool for 7 years. It gets to 110 degrees in the summer and 23 degrees in the winter. We never took it down in winter. Always keep water in it. We just cover the pump to protect it from the rain and freeze with old blankets and tarp. The only reason we are replacing is we want a bigger one, just ordered the 16 x 32, and we did not cover much in summer so over the years the top edge looks like it is deteriorating. When we took it down and cut it up to dispose of it, we found the top lip looked bad but was still very strong so probably could last a few more years. I have had pools before and it seems like if I did take down for the winter, when I put back up in spring, there were leaks. So I think they last much better if you leave it up and full, just cover and protect the pump for the winter.

Answer:	Ive had my handme down pool set up near 5 yrs, making it 6 . I leave it filled below returns all winter. I did cut in full size skimmers and returns bought on Amazon and 16 inch sand filter system. Freaking perfect. Its now rusting on the upper legs, so ill replace with 16x32 in spri g. Yes, you can cut in full size skimmers and a larger return. I plumbed it myself in hard pipe rather than garbage flex. Just put in unions so i can winterize it.

You will need the larger system for this size pool, the pump that comes with this pool has the proper flow rate for the salt system to be installed.

Answer:	This pool does NOT come with a salt water system. I just got off the phone with VM Express and they pulled the model number and it only comes with the sand system. I unfortunately already bought this pool and it will be delivered tomorrow, I bought it thinking it was a salt water system because of Suzettes answer and an up vote on it. According to the seller it does NOT have the salt system.

Answer:	It has a dual-outlet suction setup... Ie: 2 hoses connect to a T-adapter, then feed water to the pump and one "filtered" water return.

Answer:	Yes you can leave it up. Drain below the fittings and store the pump and hoses in a garage or shed. We just opened ours after leaving it up all winter and it was just fine. I live in Wisconsin.
Question:	if you can't use sand as a foundation how do you level the ground
Answer:	We have had our 24' round Intex pool for 13 years. When we installed it, we used round concrete stepping stones at each leg. We used a transit to level each stepping stone with a plus or minus 1/8" tolerance. A LEVEL pool will last longer. After we had leveled all the stepping stones, we filled the area with sand. We used a LONG 2x6 on edge to squeegee the sand level with the top of the stepping stones. We have replaced the pump several times. We upgraded to a large sand filter and better pump and hoses. NOT INTEX. We needed to change all the fittings. It was worth the cost to upgrage. We also oversized both the pump and filter. We only used a salt water system one time. While I love the water feel of a salt system, salt is CORROSIVE! I will not use a salt system again. Our frame is showing some rust. Expected wear after 13 years. The vinyl liner has begun to fray as well, but that is an easy fix. Amazon sells a blue vinyl flexible spray for $7.50 per can. The blue matches the blue Intex vinyl well. It took 2 cans to paint the top rails. The prep time and expense is worth it to extend the life of your pool. You said you can't use sand. To protect the bottom of your pool liner, I encourage you to figure out how to get sand under your pool. After 13 years, we still have our original liner and we have never had a hole. Question:	can you leave this up over winter month
Answer:	I bought my 18' X 48" in 2013 and have never drained it over the winter. I live in Indianapolis and I just purchased a cheap pool cover ($30) that is black on one side and blue on the other. When closing the pool in October, I just make sure the cover is floating on the water, I load it with a couple bags of chlorine and a quart of Algaecide. I cover the valves with faucet covers like you put on your outside spigots on your home. I use plastic spring clamps on the cover available at Harbour Freight, about 12 of them. I put my pump in the garage and drain the sand filter. In the spring, just remove the cover, clean debris, reattach hoses add chlorine and algaecide and start pump. I use the cover to maintain the water temp in summer, those bubble solar covers don't work and are expensive. I like my pool water in the middle 80's. If it gets too warm, leave the cover off one night. Hope this helps

Answer:	I was using it for a 220 Volt Pump at our other house in Indiana for a Sprinkler system. It was a few years back and I don't remember how I hooked it up. We still use it and you can remote to it very far away (300ft+). My father uses it because he is paralyzed. Next time I go out I can look. Send this message again at the end of March. Answer:	We used a winterizing kit that we bought and follow instructions on label for how much for size of pool and how to. .. It's very easy. Then cover your pool tightly. Works great! When we reopened our pool this season, our pool was clean except for a few leaves because our cover had some holes on it (from manufactors) our water was clean and ready to be tested and treated for swim time.

Answer:	the one I bought is Intex SF15110. It might not be available anymore since I got mine a few years ago. Newer models might be better. i had to replace my pump/motor with a different kind because the original failed after one year and the warranty replacement only lasted one year as well.

Answer:	once you level the whole area ,the time depends on what you need to do to set up the liner and poles can take about a hour or so. on the last two or three connectors pre angle them so you can insert them . Patience is a must. the pipes on ours have rusted at the connectors after 3 years. good luck. other than this its a great pool... enjoy

Answer:	I see no reason why that would be a problem. You might consider getting a Gorilla pad to make it a little softer to walk on.

Answer:	the original pump was way to small. I upgraded to a Intex sand filter/pump combination that turned out to be a lemon. It failed after being used for just part of a season. Being under waranty Intex replaced it but that pump failed as well. This time i bought a Blue Wave NE6151B Maxi through Amazon and it works like a charm. I also upgraded the return hoses with ones i bought at home center (Intex hoses developed leaks from age and/or higher pressure) using Intex adapters that fit a regular 1 1/2" hose.

Answer:	This takes about 10 hours to fill and 3 hours minimum to drain. Once it is up you keep it up. The material is made to withstand normal wear and tear. Very sharp nails or claws will puncture the top ring and ruin it. The sidewalls are more durable and less likely to rip or tear. If a large number of rodents will be traipsing through your yard I highly suggest a metal frame pool and some sort of barrier to reduce their access.

Answer:	More than I thought, and we had to do it multiple times. Reason was if this pool is not on a completely flat and hard spot, it will put the water to the lowest spot,and could make the side roll and empty it.

Answer:	I have a saltwater pool also. The reel is aluminum. The hardware is steel with chrome plating, the legs are steel with plated chrome plating and rubber and the wheels are steel with painted hubs. So far after owning this 4 years I believe, it’s performed and lasted well. I have had trouble with the Velcro straps though and the plastic grips to attach the solar cover to the Velcro strips on the reel. Very cheesy way to mount.
Question:	Is this reel adjustable, meaning if I buy a 20 foot, can the pole be 16 feet, without the extra length
Answer:	Yes. When you put it together there is two sections that slide, one inside the other. Like a curtain rod, you adjust the length you need. So, it supports up to 21 foot in length, you only need 16 foot, you initially adjust it to your need. If you look closely at the photo, you'll see the difference in circumference at the half way mark.

Answer:	yes the clips do puncture the cover but thats how they attach to the cover, the straps then attach to the reel with a sticky substance and velcro pieces, but the sticky doesnt last long, my husband actually drilled the straps onto the real with screws and that keeps the straps in perfectly. i dont know what hooks your reffering to though..

Answer:	The cover we received was blue and 12mil, but I believe that there is a cover that's silver/grey in color,supposedly more heat reflective into the water. (Also more expensive.)

Answer:	You can cut to have an over lap up the sides of the pool it helps to keep the leaves out of the pool, if you have a reel to roll it up for storage, it must be the same width of your reel poles.

Answer:	I purchased this filter and pump for our in ground hot tub. It moves a lot of water, but at times is difficult to get primed. It is not a self-priming pump. For an above ground pool that wouldn't be an issue. We've had it installed for almost two years and it's still working well. My pool pump is 2HP but my pool is much bigger than 28' dia.This pump would probably work fine for you pool. Again, not self priming though.

Answer:	Yes, this filter should work with your Intex pool. However, you will not be able to connect the standard 1-1/2" hoses (furnished with the Hayward pump / filter combo) to the pool itself since the Intex suction / discharge fittings (on the pool) are proprietary connections that are made for Intex hoses (i.e. 1-1/2" female slip nuts with O-ring seals). Note that the furnished 1-1/2" Hayward hoses are made to fit 1-1/2" hose (barb) fittings that are secured with a conventional hose clamp. In this regard, my solution was to purchase a Hayward SP1091LX Dyna-Skim Above-Ground Pool Skimmer and Accessory Kit (available from Amazon.com for $31.59). This kit required some minor cutting of the pool liner wall (with a sharp utility knife) to accommodate the skimmer (i.e. suction line) whereas the new discharge fitting (also included with the kit) fit the existing opening (hole) in the pool ... installation time took about an hour. An alternative to this skimmer / discharge retrofit would be to purchase adapters that will provide standard 1-1/2" hose barb connections on the Intex pool for the Hayward hoses. You'll also need 200 lb (4 - 50 lb bags) of pool filter sand for the 21" Hayward filter available from your local home improvement store (about $5.00 / bag). Hope this helps.
