| Answer: | Yes, the lid can be hard to get off of the pump. What I use to make it easier is "O-Ring Lube", available at pool supply stores. Apply a thin coating to all mating surfaces and the O-ring seal. One other item I use is a strainer basket in the pool surface strainer, it catches most the leaves, so cleaning the basket on the pump doesn't have to be that often. Hope it helps you. |

2. Make sure the pump is least 8 inches below the highest water level of your pool.
3. Turn the Air Vale Screw (in the top) counter-clockwise, to release the air suction inside, then ture it back clockwise.
4. Connect the power
